Kawasaki Ninja description

For sale I have a 2011 Kawasaki Ninja 250. Mileage is UNKNOWN (the 100,000 miles I entered is a dummy value). This bike was purchased by me as a rebuild project, but I don't have the time to finish it. It currently needs the following parts in order to run (may need more, but these are definite needs):

1. Head gasket for engine (I have a brand new one, it just needs to be installed)
2. Left handlebar (I have a replacement, needs installation)
3. Gas tank (the one I have is corroded on the inside)
4. Sprocket and chain
5. May need tires as the current tires have been sitting for a while

The bike does not have a title. I moved most of the parts from the old frame (2001 VIN) to a different frame (2003 VIN), and I have a surety bond on the current frame. In order to get this bike titled, you would need to have the surety bond transferred to your name, finish rebuilding the bike, and have it inspected by a DMV inspector, who would then issue a title.

This would be a great rebuild project or a source of parts for a different bike.

Please ask me any questions that you may have before buying.

Left Side Story: A Double-Amputee Keeps His Racing Dreams Alive – Video

Thu, 11 Oct 2012

Australian rider Alan Kempster lost his right arm and leg in 1990 when an intoxicated truck driver crashed into his motorcycle. The accident changed Kempster’s life, but what it did not do was dampen his spirit and his love of racing. The determined Kempster rigged a racebike and returned to the track, not only competing against abled riders, but also winning.

Photos Of This Weekend’s Denver Endurocross Track

Fri, 03 Oct 2014

This weekend the EnduroCross championship makes its way to Denver and the National Events Center for the fifth round of the nine-round series. Truckloads of dirt, mountains of rock and piles of logs are coming together to create an EnduroCross course that’s sure to challenge racers and entertain fans.  Excitement will be a mile-high this weekend as the EnduroCross Championship puts three different race winners into an epic battle for valuable points before the halfway point in the series. Beta/GEICO-backed Cody Webb has led since his first round victory in Las Vegas, but KTM’s five-time champion Taddy Blazusiak is hot on his heels after a big win at the last round in Atlanta and at X-Games. And don’t count out Colton Haaker.

Kawasaki Z1R.

Thu, 09 Dec 2010

These two beautiful Z1R Kawasakis appeared at the annual Mooneyes Yokohama Custom show last weekend. With one sporting a street/strip look (spot the belly-scraping ride height and rigid rear struts) and the other undergoing a sort of modernisation, they both reminded me just how handsome and unique the original slab-sided Z1R was.  Judging by some of the other wild and weird exhibits I made a mental note to myself: must make sure I'm in Japan this time next year.
