Kawasaki Ninja description

1993 Kawasaki ZX600 for sale. $2000. The bike has been ridden 21410 miles, with regular oil changes and maintenance. Put a new battery in it in January, and it rides well. Handles pretty good for a 23 year old bike, stops well, and runs strong once it’s warmed up. It has a SuperTrapp 4 into 1 exhaust, which sounds great and looks good.

As you can see in the photos, it’s been scratched up a little from where, as a new rider, I lost my balance and dropped it in a parking lot standing still.  The other scratches were there when I got the bike in 2012, I have no clue what happened.

This bike also comes with an original Kawasaki tool kit, and the seat is in excellent shape. The tires aren’t the best anymore. They’ve got plenty of tread, but they’ve started to crack a little from being stored in a non-climate controlled shed.

The bike has a clean title, and is currently registered and insured in Georgia. This was my first bike, and I’m ready to move on and get something newer. This bike will be sold AS IS, no returns.

Available for local-pick up. If you want it shipped, you'll need to arrange and pay for it.

I reserve the right to end the auction early, as I have the bike listed locally.  If you have questions, or doubts, or want more pictures, please contact me at 678-701-7562. Only serious bidders PLEASE.  If you have less than 10 feedback history, you will need to contact me prior to bidding, or I will cancel your bid.

Accepted payment methods are cash in person, cashier's check/money order.  If payment is made via cashier's check/money order, the bike will be released only after the funds have cleared.

The winning bidder needs to deposit $300 via PayPal, (Non-Refundable), immediately after the end of the auction, and full payment needs to be made within 7 days after the end of the auction.  The bike needs to be picked up, or shipping arrangements need to be made 14 days of the end of the auction.

Cathy Butler Attempting Land Speed Record Aboard Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R

Fri, 08 Aug 2014

Kawasaki has had a great 30th anniversary so far for its Ninja line of models. To date, the highlights have included Jeremy Toye’s triumph at Pikes Peak, Tom Sykes leading the World Superbike Championship and the release of the 2015 Ninja ZX-14R 30th Anniversary Limited Edition. The celebrations haven’t finished yet, and the next milestone will be an assault on Bonneville Speed Week (August 9-15, 2014) in an attempt to set a new Land Speed Record at the famous Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah. The 2015 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R has been entered by catalytic converter specialist, ACAT Global, with the aim of proving its motorcycle products in the most challenging conditions.

Japan Needs Your Help

Thu, 17 Mar 2011

By now, we’ve all seen pictures and video of the devastation in Japan following the March 11 earthquake and the ensuing tsunamis. Japan, of course, has contributed much to motorcycling, with the Big Four of Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha, as well as tire manufacturer Bridgestone, helmet companies Arai and Shoei and many other motorcycle industry stalwarts all coming from the Land of the Rising Sun. Jon Bekefy and Greg Hatton, two motorcycle enthusiasts, industry employees  and above all, humanitarians, have set up a fundraising campaign benefiting the Red Cross for relief efforts in Japan.

2014 WSBK – Assen Results

Mon, 28 Apr 2014

Heavy rains and a fortuitous red flag were the difference in the World Superbike Championship‘s visit to The Cathedral of motorcycle racing, the TT Circuit Assen in the Netherlands. Aprilia‘s Sylvain Guintoli captured his second win of the season in Race 1, which was halted early by a red flag with five laps to go just as it looked like reigning WSBK champion Tom Sykes was gearing up for a final challenge. The second race was also shortened, not by a red flag but because of a rain, turning the 21-lap race into a 10-lap sprint.
