Kawasaki KX description

Pretty much a barn find. Hasn't been ridden in many years. I have been taking the bike apart and mostly cleaning and sorting out it's problems.. So far I know that all of the bearings are all tight and roll smooth, chain and sprockets appear to be perfect and roll very well together, no rust anywhere, the shocks work smoothly and don't appear to be leaking at all. carburetor and tank have been removed, emptied and cleaned, no big problems, or clogged jets. rims are true, back tire is a little worn, no big deal, removed air filter which was old but clean. I am in the process of thoroughly cleaning everything, and will be reassembling the bike over the next couple days have bought some fresh gas and two stroke oil, new plugs, new gear oil, here are a couple images. this bike really doesn't seem abused at all, I would guess it has very low miles for a 16yr old bike and should handle very solidly. The only question is the low compression, it could need a new piston and ring or maybe only the compression ring.. I am sure the jug is fine, it turns over very smoothly... Update :::::: I have been working on the bike and put it back together with fresh fluids, plug, gas, clean carb, and really the whole bike... The bike needs a new piston and ring. There is little compression and some piston slap when I tried to push start it.. So I will be putting a new piston and ring on the bike in the next couple weeks, when time allows, and then I will ask $1,200, Everything else on the bike appears to be mint condition... so I think 1,200 is reasonable.. OR ::::: the bike can be sold as is, for $800.00 it really does look good in person, and it is tight Bring me some money !! I need it for Christmasfull aftermarket exaust system, ( I have the factory 1 too) compression seems low, But I was told it ran fine when parked,

Kawasaki Patents Design for Naked Single

Wed, 05 Mar 2014

Kawasaki has registered a design patent for what appears to be a naked version of its recently revealed 250cc single-cylinder Ninja RR Mono. While the Ninja RR Mono (also known in some markets as the Ninja 250SL) is produced for the Asian market, the new design is registered with the European Union’s Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market, making it more likely to arrive in western markets. The detailed design renderings reveal many clues indicating this is a naked version of the RR Mono.
