Kawasaki KLX description

2012 Kawasaki KLX 140, Describing the KLX 140 in one term is easy: multi-talented. And with its mid-sized stature, flexible engine and easy-to-ride nature, Kawasaki s 2012 KLX 140 is the kind of versatile machine that can fit a variety of riders. Smaller riders will love the KLX s physical size a touch larger than a typical minibike and push-button starting, while those a bit taller will appreciate the larger-wheeled KLX140L, which features a 19 front and 16 rear wheel in place of the standard KLX s 17 front and 14 rear wheels. Both 140s are friendly to beginners and novices, yet both offer a roomy cockpit and enough performance and handling prowess to keep more advanced riders smiling.

FIM Releases New WSBK Rules – Updates Include Pitstops, Weight Limits and Headlight Decals

Wed, 17 Oct 2012

The International Motorcycling Federation and the Superbike Racing Commission released a number of amendments to the 2013 World Superbike Championship rulebook including pitstops, fake headlights and a revised starting grid alignment. We’ve already seen the fake headlights with Kawasaki getting a jump on the new regulation earlier this season with headlight decals on Tom Sykes‘ and Loris Baz‘s ZX-10R. Starting in 2013, all superbikes will have fake headlights to resemble their homologated production models.

2013 Kawasaki Ninja 300 Recalled for ABS Modulator Issue

Thu, 25 Jul 2013

As we expected, a manufacturing error for a Nissin anti-lock brake modulator has led to a recall in the U.S. for the 2013 Kawasaki Ninja 300. (UPDATE: Transport Canada has also issued a recall for 745 units, in addition to the 1,083 units recalled in the U.S.) Kawasaki had already issued a recall in Japan for ABS-equipped versions of the 2013 Ninja 250, so it was no surprise that the 300, which uses nearly all of the same parts, would fall victim to the recall as well.

This steam powered motorcycle (not a bicycle, 'cos it don't have no pedals), could be perfect for you if you like a brew at short notice on your Sunday ride. Built in 1894, it's about to be auctioned and is expected to reach a world record price (for a kettle). It uses a coal furnace to super-heat water into steam which is fed into a small engine.
