2001 Ducati Superbike (2001)
I have for sale a great used 2001 Ducati 996s. Bike has salvaged title, and I was the one that purchased the bike several years ago from an auction pool. Was a lay down with no frame damage. Has carbon fiber extras, Forza exhaust, Ohlin suspension, Marchesini wheels, Brembo brakes. Tires have great tread, and just changed oil/filter a few days ago. Bike was serviced with new timing belts installed by Del Amo Motorsports a few years back. Runs and drives awesome.2016-11-16 04:45:27Costa Mesa, California, United States1941000 -
2001 Ducati Superbike (2001)
The quintessential, real-deal SBK for mere mortals! It doesn't get any better on the street or track with Ducati's 2001 996S. WSB Championship winner in 2001 with Troy Bayliss aboard. Own a legend that dominated an entire era! As many know, the Ducati SPS (Sport Production Special) were the finest, high-performance Ducati models regular folk could obtain. SPS models were available until 2000. A few SPS were titled in 2001, but they were left-over 2000 models. The 2001 996S was Ducati's replacement variant for the SPS, now discontinued. The 2001 996S (Special) featured SPS equipment, including: cams, gearbox, Marchesini magnesium-alloy wheels, Termignoni full system exhaust, complete Ohlins suspension/steering damper, and enough carbon fiber/special appointments to bring it's MSRP to a whopping $21,495! Maximum factory horsepower and massive bad-ass torque which satisfies even the most experienced track expert. Want to get noticed and draw attention wherever you go? The outrageous exhaust-note of these Ducati are nothing short of brutish, WSB bellowing! This 996S model is about as aggressive as motorcycles come. Yet, she's surprising easy to ride. Most motorcycles of huge caliber are easy to ride, making any rider, better. This 996S is extremely RARE! Only 180 996S's were shipped to the USA in 2001. Already a collector's dream-bike. These particular Ducati models are destined for motorcycle immortality. Listed for way below the value of most SPS offerings. It's the same bike! In some ways, better. This 996S is being offered with free shipping within the United States if the Buy It Now price is met? Prospects can purchase with confidence, as the cosmetic and mechanical conditions of this pampered 996S are impeccable, beyond reproach. Please do not contact seller asking what might be wrong, or flawed? At 17,000 actual miles, do the math? Having been lightly-used since new, this Ducati's odometer reflects (approximately) 1,000 miles-of-use, per year. Precisely where an experienced enthusiast would expect the mileage to be in terms of normal ownership. Both biposto and monoposto seating are included, as are many high-end optional equipment additions. All the original factory equipment will be included with the sale. There is only 50 miles on a brand-new set of Bridgestone Battlax S21 MotoGP approved tires. Very sticky! A new RK Gold Racing Chain was just installed along with the new tires. All maintenance and belts, recently done. About as perfect and mint as a Ducati can be! You won't find a finer example. Offered by experienced motorcycle owner/retired airline pilot. Hurry if you want the best collectable 996S money can buy. Your satisfaction is absolutely assured. She's VERY sweet! Thanks for looking.2016-11-15 04:45:49Ventura, California, United States178,500.00 -

2001 Ducati Superbike (2001)
Immaculate 2001 Ducati 748 with only 2,400 miles, second owner, garage kept. You will not find a more pristine example anywhere else outside of a museum or private collection. A few subtle mods to include; LED signals, fender-eliminator, EVR clutch plate, STM frame plugs, Ducabike levers and new Metzler Roadtech Z6 tires. Bike has never been on its side for any reason. The only real blemish on the bike is a couple of nicks on the lower outer portion of the right mirror as shown in pictures. Other than that this bike is in excellent condition, runs great and has been a pleasure to own. I hate to sell it but its time to move on. Belts were changed at 2,000 miles and the valves were adjusted along with a complete going over by the service tech.2016-08-29 04:52:58Slidell, Louisiana, United States24,000.00 -

Ducati 998 Bayliss (2001)
Raider Motorsport specialises in sourcing rare and collectible motorcycles from around the globe. Road, Off-Road, Vintage, Classic, Modern, Custom and Retro, if it’s unusual, uncommon or unobtainable, chances are we have one or know where to find one. This auction is for a stunning 2001 build Ducati 998 Bayliss Race Replica. Sold new in the USA and imported by Raider Motorsport, this bike has undergone compliance for registration in Oz. The original owner personalised the bike with an array of Ducati specialist accessories, but all have been removed and replaced with oem items, making this bike a beautifully original example. Only 400 Bayliss' were produced and seldom do they appear on the market; they always command high prices and continue to escalate in value. We do have the bike advertised elsewhere and therefore reserve the right to end the auction early. Ducati 996R - 1,781 Miles - 135hp - (1 of 500) Worldwide (1 of 100) in USA (2001)
The big deal about the 996R was the first ever use of the testastretta (narrow head) engine which went on to power the 998 and the 999 series after it. The narrower, 25º included valve angle finally freed the combustion chamber from what was still essentially the 851 based Desmo quattro engine. The bike is essentially a 996SPS rolling chassis with the new engine, the 996R was the homoligation model that allowed the engines use in racing for Ducati. There were some changes such as upgraded brakes and the removal of the side fairing vent for aerodynamic reasons. MOTOR - The 996R's peak output in homologated guise is a claimed 135ps at 10,200rpm at the crankshaft - 13ps more at 200rpm less than the 996SPS. FRAME - To create the 996R, Ducati focused most attention on the new engine, and slotted it into the same tubular-steel spaceframe as the SPS - itself derived from Foggy's racebike.2013-09-05 18:01:30New York, New York, US1,80024,999.00 -

2025 Kawasaki KLX230R / KLX230R S Review
Mon, 11 Nov 2024Designed to inspire addiction Kawasaki would like to think it knows its customer possibly better than they know themselves, and anyone invested in bringing new riders into the sport understands the importance of setting them up for success. A new rider’s first steed should be approachable, forgiving, playful, price-conscious, and cool. Kawasaki has set out to offer the perfect bike on all fronts, and in my opinion, they have succeeded.

2024 Kawasaki Z500 SE Review – First Ride
Tue, 14 May 2024Displacement creeps alongside tech and styling updates Photos by Kevin Wing Every rider can fondly recall their first street motorcycle. Maybe it was a used 1980s “Honda Davidson” cruiser with miles of wear and tear. Or perhaps it was a shiny new lightweight sport bike, candy coated and bright like a Skittle.
2024 Kawasaki Ninja 500 Review – First Ride
Tue, 23 Apr 2024Photos by Kevin Wing Photo/Kawasaki Kawasaki has been dominating the realm of entry-level motorcycles, especially with the introduction of the Ninja 400 in 2018. In fact, they were so capable and enjoyable to ride that I bought one myself and it has become one of my favorite motorcycles in my stable. The Ninja 400 wasn't perfect, and I had my gripes about it.
2024 Kawasaki KLX300/KLX300SM Review – First Ride
Mon, 18 Dec 2023A winning formula gets even more… winning-er Photos: Kevin Wing Kawasaki’s media guy Brad Puetz (pronounced like the actor, though this Brad is not nearly as good looking or famous) said something that stuck with me. “Between the Versys 650 and this, these are the two bikes journalists tend to buy most from us.” As a previous Versys 650 owner – purchased from MO’s former Editorial Director Sean Alexander, and then passed down after me to another former MO staffer Tom Roderick, we can certainly attest to the first part. 2024 Kawasaki KLX300/KLX300SM Kawasaki has an unexpected success with the KLX300 and KLX300SM, so instead of massive changes for what's essentially an entry-level motorcycle, Kawasaki decided to make it look better.
2024 Kawasaki Ninja 7 Hybrid Review – First Ride
Tue, 31 Oct 2023The world’s first production hybrid motorcycle has a lot to offer – but does it make any sense in America? Photos: Kawasaki Like it or not, regulatory agencies around the world are cracking down on vehicle emissions and imposing some of the strictest rules we, the motoring public, have ever seen. One of these rules includes restricting, or even banning, petrol-powered vehicles through portions of some European cities.
2024 Kawasaki Eliminator Review – First Ride
Wed, 13 Sep 2023The Vulcan S Now Has A Sibling Once upon a displacement, 250 cubic centimeters was the unofficial beginner bike size of Japanese OEMs. Kawasaki upset that apple cart with the introduction of the Ninja 300 in 2013. Two years later, Honda and Yamaha responded with the CBR300R and YZF-R3, respectively.
2024 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R Review – First Ride

CARB Filings Hint at Updated Kawasaki Z650RS for 2024
Mon, 10 Apr 2023Traction control and updated instruments expected The California Air Resources Board has issued an executive order for what we expect to be an updated Kawasaki Z650RS for the 2024 model year. The update is expected to be relatively minor, adding traction control to the Z650RS. The update would bring the retro RS model in line with the more modern-styled Z650 and the Ninja 650, both of which were updated with traction control for 2023, as well as the Versys 650 which received traction control in 2022.
How Much Power Does The 2023 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4RR Make?
Fri, 03 Feb 2023US-spec models may be significantly down on power We’ve been covering the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R for a while now, and even up until it was revealed this week, there was skepticism about whether the little four-banger would actually come to America. Join the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R Forum After the official announcement, the obvious questions came up: How much does it cost? How much does it weigh?
