Kawasaki ZRX 1100 tech info
Kawasaki ZRX 1100 description
This is an extremely low mileage ZRX 1100 which has been in climate controlled storage for the past eight years. It is a very beautiful bike in the black color. I purchased this bike with the intention of riding it, but now need to let it go. The bike was dropped one time when he was turning in his driveway. I have repaired the fairing. I never liked the stripe on the fairing since it didn't line up with the one on the tank, so I did not put it back on the fairing. I noticed when reassembling the fairing that the inner support was broken in the fall. They are available from Bike Bandit for $110. I have taken this into account with the reserve price. I can order it and install it if the buyer wishes. The grips/handles on the tail section have been removed to give a more streamlined appearance. When the bike was stored it had racing fuel in it, so no ethanol gas in the tank. I have cleaned out the tank and installed an inline fuel filter just in case there is still some sediment in the tank. I have a new front tire, changed the oil and filter, sandblasted the headers and repainted with VHT header paint. New exhaust gaskets at the headers and at the muffler. The bike has a Yoshimura RS3 muffler. Drained and refilled the coolant, added a new smoke Zero Gravity windscreen, a new K&N air filter was installed just before it was parked. The rear tire was installed when the bike was parked, the nibs are still on the tire. Because the bike was in a climate controlled building out of the sunlight I did not change the rear tire. I have installed a new Interstate battery. The bike has aftermarket rear turn signals installed. I have a set of original turn signals but part of the mounting bracket for the originals is not with the bike so I left the aftermarket ones on since they look better. I will include the original ones. The original owner installed a nitrous system, pressed the button once and decided he really didn't need it. The battery tray was modified to allow the lines and solenoids to be installed. I will include a very nice battery tray from a 1200 in case you want to change it out. If you decide to install nitrous, the modifications are already done. After 8 years of storage I disconnected the fuel line from the tank, put the new battery in, put some new fuel in the line and the bike fired up like it had just been parked overnight. Everything seems to work fine. The bike was taken on a 70 mile ride to make sure everything worked fine at the beginning of September and has been parked since. The bike is being sold based on the buyer picking it up or I will deliver within a 600 mile range for a fee. Please email with any questions.
