The Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Classic SE (VN900B) is a mid-sized cruiser 1st introduced in 2006. The Vulcan 900 is powered by a liquid cooled 903 cc V-Twin engine mated to a five gear transmission. It also features a 5.3 gallon tank, floor boards, front and rear disk brakes, electronic fuel injection and a belt for the final drive. This is a Vulcan 900 Classic LT (VN900D) which came standard with a factory windshield, saddlebags, a passenger seat backrest and a leather studded seat. When it was new the selling dealer sent it out to Lehman and had it converted to a Storm trike and the owner had passenger floor boards added. The Storm features an S.M.A.R.T. suspension for max performance with a no lean. Other features include the adjustable rear air suspension, the large lockable trunk, a steering stabilizer bar, raked triple trees, a parking brake and cast aluminum rear wheels. This is a one owner trike that was purchased new in August of 2011 and currently has an incredibly low 683 original miles. It also comes with a three year prepaid maintenance contract which covers all service needs through 08/20/14 or 20,000mis. Service must be done at Gieson Motorsports in Rock Falls, IL. Corbin Rider Appreciation Day July 5 & 6 In Conjunction With Rebirth Of Hollister Rally
Mon, 03 Jun 2013Corbin has announced that all vendor spaces on the lot are filled for their 4th Annual Rider Appreciation Day, held this year on July 5 and 6. Last year, Corbin had thousands of riders show up to help celebrate our country’s birthday and take part in the festivities and expects a much bigger crowd this year, since the city has approved the Hollister Rally and the event covers two days. Mike Corbin reported that the city is feverishly working on the final details in order to make this year’s Hollister Rally one to remember.

Sun, 15 May 2022Twenty-five years ago, the 1997 Kawasaki ZX-6 had not yet grown an “R.” It came with a centerstand, dual exhausts, and weighed 430 pounds full of 4.8 gallons of unleaded fuel. The leaded stuff hadn’t been phased out until one year earlier, which may explain a lot about the mental condition of many of us Boomers. It was a great, inexpensive, do-anything motorcycle in other words.

The bikes are merely street-legal dirt bikes without much accommodation for creature comfort. So, spending 220-ish miles flat in the saddle from Las Vegas, NV to Palmdale, CA, mostly on Interstate 15, is a platform for cataloging discomforts, and after riding approximately 360 miles, mostly off road over the two previous days, my aches-and-pains were legion.
