The Vulcan 900 Classic is definitely the bike to get noticed on, with its spoke wheels, low-slung seat and chrome dual slash-cut mufflers. And for those looking for an even more distinctive look, the Vulcan 900 Classic Special Edition exudes badass with a new for 2012 black-out treatment on the forks, fender struts, air cover, engine covers and cases and cylinders and valve covers. A beautiful two-tone Pearl Meteor Gray / Polar White paint job is enhanced by a checkered flag pinstripe. Completing the Special Edition look are chrome pipes and whitewall tires, for the ultimate in retro flair. It’s powered by a 903 cc engine, just like its 900 Vulcan brethren. This powerplant offers excellent performance and smooth roll-on acceleration. Rider floorboards complete with a heel and toe shifter enhances rider comfort. Mon, 06 Jan 2014KTM rookie Ken Roczen captured his first 450 class win in the AMA Supercross world championship, taking the season opener at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Calif. An audience of 45,050 fans watched a clean race from the rookie while errors by veterans like James Stewart and three-time reigning champion Ryan Villopoto knocked them out of contention. Villopoto had a strong start, taking the holeshot and leading the first eight laps, just like the Kawasaki rider had done so often the last few seasons.
Kawasaki Issues Recall on Unauthorized Concours 14 Police Models
Wed, 28 Aug 2013Kawasaki announced a recall on 44 2012-2013 Concours 14 potentially faulty motorcycles allegedly converted for police use without the manufacturer’s consent. Back in early 2012, Kawasaki announced a recall on 278 2009-2012 Concours 14 police motorcycles because the add-on equipment installed by Idaho-based Beaudry Motors suffered electrical problems. According to the recall documents, the electrical system installed by Beaudry could overload the charging circuit between the regulator and the two batteries and eventually blow the main fuse.

Mon, 28 Apr 2014Heavy rains and a fortuitous red flag were the difference in the World Superbike Championship‘s visit to The Cathedral of motorcycle racing, the TT Circuit Assen in the Netherlands. Aprilia‘s Sylvain Guintoli captured his second win of the season in Race 1, which was halted early by a red flag with five laps to go just as it looked like reigning WSBK champion Tom Sykes was gearing up for a final challenge. The second race was also shortened, not by a red flag but because of a rain, turning the 21-lap race into a 10-lap sprint.
