2011 KAWASAKI Vulcan 1700 Voyager ABS, The Vulcan. 1700 Voyager., complete with its full-dress accoutrements, boasts all youll need for adventurous treks: a smooth and torquey 1,700 cubic centimeter V-twin powerplant, large frame-mounted fairing, beautifully integrated luggage, a comfortable saddle, electronic cruise control, and high-fidelity sound system.The Voyagers 1,700 cubic centimeter 52-degree V-twin uses a pair of big pistons to pump out a massive quantity of torque over an unbelievably wide rpm range a key to this engines superb flexibility.Changes for 2011 include mufflers that were redesigned for improved sound quality, improved shifting action, revised intake manifold, and a slight EFI tweak that improves throttle response.The Voyager provides plenty of wind and weather protection with its large frame-mounted windshield and fairing. Mounting the fairing to the frame transfers any wind buffeting to the bike rather than the handlebar, which reduces rider fatigue on longer trips. Deluxe touring seats are sculpted to provide comfort for rider and passenger while optional floorboards and backrests up the comfort quotient even further.Stylish and integrated luggage include sealed and lockable side cases that partner with a color-matched, lockable tail trunk. Isle of Man TT 2013: Lightweight TT Race Results
Fri, 07 Jun 2013James Hillier set new lap time and race time records in a dominating victory in the Lightweight TT race for the 2013 Isle of Man TT. All three of the Kawasaki rider’s lap times were faster than the previous lap record for the Lightweight TT class, for a record overall time of 57:42.245 and average speed of 117.694 mph. The race started with another Kawasaki rider (the class is dominated with Kawasaki Ninja 650s with a few Suzuki SV650s) Dean Harrison taking the early lead through the Glen Helen viewpoint but Hillier was right on his tail about half a second behind.

Under pressure for his lack of results so far this season, Marco Melandri impressed, earning the double for his first career wins on the RSV4 Factory. Aprilia riders led every lap in both races at Sepang, including the red-flagged initial start for Race 2, with Sylvain Guintoli joining his teammate on the podium with a pair of second-place finishes.

Fri, 07 Jun 2013For a while there, it looked as if John McGuinness would be held off the top podium position through the entire 2013 Isle of Man TT. McGuinness had recorded third-place finishes at the Superbike, Superstock and the second Supersport TT races earlier in the week, but the active leader in Isle of Man TT wins was stuck at 19 wins all week. That finally changed and the Honda TT Legends racer finally earned win #20 in the final race of this year’s event, the Senior TT.
