Kawasaki Vulcan description

2009 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Custom, The eye-catching jewel of the Vulcan 900 familyCRUISER STYLE REDEFINED: THE KAWASAKI VULCAN 900 CUSTOMThe eye-catching jewel of the Vulcan 900 familyAn authentic blend of cruising comfort and big bike feel, the Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Custom is sure to turn heads with its stylish front end. This is a motorcycle that any rider would be proud to own, whether journeying through the backroads, cruising through town, or parked at the local biker hangout. The crown jewel in Kawasaki s mid-size cruiser family, this chromed-out machine is more than just good looking. Like its siblings, the Vulcan 900 Custom has a fuel-injected 903cc engine producing exceptional roll-on acceleration that rivals the get-up-and-go of much larger motorcycles giving it a big-bike feel yet it s wrapped in a nimble chassis not handicapped by the ponderous bulk of these titans. The 900 Custom s unique design gives it the edge to separate out from the flock. Kawasaki engineers and designers concentrated on delivering a motorcycle with a customized appearance typically found only on expensive two-wheel offerings. A massive rear tire, light-looking front end accentuated by a thin 21-inch cast wheel, and sculpted bodywork top the stand-out features of the Vulcan 900 Custom. Perhaps one of the most striking examples of this Vulcan cruiser s distinctive look is its large diameter 21-inch front cast wheel itself somewhat rare in the custom-building world. The wheel features spokes arranged in pairs for a special visual appeal. Balancing the lightweight look of the front end is a low, wide rear wheel featuring a 180mm tire on a 15-inch cast wheel that gives the rider the feeling of sitting on a one of a kind, made-to-order motorcycle.

2013-2014 Kawasaki Ninja 300 Faces More Brake Issues

Mon, 09 Dec 2013

Earlier this year, the Kawasaki Ninja 300 was one of several models impacted by a recall on Nissin anti-lock brake system modulators. The fault for that problem clearly lay with Nissin, as the same issue affected other motorcycles from several manufacturers. The little Ninja might not be out of the wood yet however, as other brake-related issues have come up.

Brammo Earns Seventh Place Against Gas Bikes

Mon, 06 May 2013

This past weekend, Brammo arrived to Sonoma Raceway in Central California ready to do battle. Only this time the electric sportbike manufacturer would be trading blows not with other electric bikes, but with their ICE counterparts at the second round of the American Federation of Motorcyclists series — one of the oldest club racing organizations in the country. We recently mentioned Brammo’s eligibility with AFM, and this weekend was the first outing. Team Icon Brammo and its two riders Eric Bostrom and Steve Atlas competed on the Empulse RR machines while third rider, Shelina Moreda, rode the Team Parker Brammo Empulse TTX — a modified version of the road-legal Empulse.

Behind The Scenes: The Making Of the Ninja ZX-6R vs The Isle of Man Video

Fri, 15 Feb 2013

You may remember last fall’s release of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R was accompanied by a mind-blowing short video commercial of a rider screaming around the 37.33-mile Isle of Man TT course aboard the new 636 Ninja. Now, Team Green has just released a “Making Of” video about the production of that video, featuring TT star James Hillier.  This behind-the-scenes short film shows the crew capturing Hillier as he passes within millimeters of the camera. You’ll see the camera-equipped pursuit bike racing side-by-side with Hillier, as well as the aerial heli-cam.
