2006 Kawasaki Vulcan 500 LTD, GREAT COMMUTER BIKE! - LOW SEAT HEIGHT AND FRIENDLY POWERBAND The Kawasaki Vulcan 500 LTD is a great, first-time buyer’s bike for those who want to enter the cruiser lifestyle, because its low seat height, friendly powerband and affordability make it easy to develop those all-important riding skills. The Vulcan 500 LTD gets its power from a 498cc parallel-twin, based on the same engine that powers the Ninja 500R sportbike. Liquid cooling helps this cruiser maintain consistent operating temperatures for longer engine life and sustained power. The engine has also been tuned to deliver power as suited to boulevard cruising as it is to more spirited riding. The six-speed transmission, complete with Kawasaki’s exclusive Positive Neutral Finder, allows riders to use the engine to its full potential. Equally user-friendly is the chassis, which has a long and low steel frame that contributes to the 500 LTD’s classic cruiser looks, and with a saddle that’s just 28 inches from the ground, it puts just about any size rider at ease. 2012 Kawasaki Versys 1000 Makes North American Debut in Canada
Wed, 11 Jan 2012As we’ve previously reported, the new Kawasaki Versys 1000 will not be imported to the U.S, but it will be available in North America in Canada as a 2012 model. Kawasaki Canada presented the Versys 1000 at its display at this past weekend’s North American International Motorcycle Supershow in Toronto, for the new “adventure sport” model’s debut on this side of the Atlantic. While he can’t speak for Kawasaki USA’s decision making, Bob Calwell, district manager for Kawasaki Canada, he does note that the Canadian company does have a history of making different product selections.

Not only does he have more than 5,000 posts on our forum, he’s also written dirt bike tests for us, including the 2010 and 2011 Kawasaki KX450F reviews. Making this accomplishment more noteworthy is the fact that Matt is a paraplegic – he was hit by a car several years ago while riding his motorcycle.
