Kawasaki Vulcan tech info
Kawasaki Vulcan description
2005 Kawasaki Vulcan 800, Local consignment bike - No genre in the motorcycle world provides such a wide variety of style and engine size choices as the cruiser segment, and one of the best is the Kawasaki Vulcan 800. The heart of the Vulcan 800 is a powerful 805cc V-twin engine, which benefits from years of Kawasaki engineering expertise. The engine incorporates liquid cooling for exceptional temperature control and engine longevity, but its radiator is hidden between the downtubes of the double-cradle frame, giving the bike a stylish air-cooled look. The overall result is an attractive, high-torque motor that makes loads of power and emits the distinctive exhaust note associated with a V-twin. Like the engine, the Vulcan 800s chassis is the beneficiary of high-tech design and is clothed in nostalgic cruiser garb, including wire wheels, stepped seat and a teardrop fuel tank. Kawasakis own UNI-TRAK rear suspension system is hidden away to give the triangulated steel swingarm a clean, hardtail appearance. But in actuality, the linkage system applies progressive damping and spring forces as the single shock is compressed to provide a smooth ride. Power reaches the chain-driven rear wheel through a five-speed transmission. The transmission, which features Kawasakis exclusive Positive Neutral Finder, allows the rider to easily shift from first gear to neutral when stopped. While stationary, the lever cant be raised into second gear, but as the motorcycle begins moving again the transmission resumes normal shifting. Fender to fender, this machine is the picture of fluidity.

Kawasaki World Debut At AIMExpo
Mon, 11 Aug 2014Kawasaki has chosen the 2014 American International Motorcycle Expo as the venue to make the world debut of a yet unannounced motorcycle model. The model launch will take place at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, this October 16-19. “AIMExpo demonstrated last year that it can serve as the ideal platform for media and brand activities and Kawasaki will leverage this grand stage to reveal new products, as well as interact closely with dealers and consumers,” explains Kevin Allen, Kawasaki Manager, PR + Brand Experience. “We have some very exciting new product to share and AIMExpo is the perfect place to make these announcements.” Attendees will also witness the North American introduction of all-new vehicles in several categories from Kawasaki. Following the unveilings, all products will then be on full display for all to see inside Kawasaki’s booth (#2165) out on the AIMExpo show floor. “Kawasaki joins an expanding list of key companies that sees AIMExpo as the perfect means to infuse energy into the powersports business in North America,” says Larry Little, Vice President and General Manager, Marketplace Events Motorcycle Group.
Motorcycle Drifting, Part 2.
Fri, 13 Jan 2012Today’s Friday Fun Video comes courtesy of the marketing department at Icon Motorsports. Following the success of their first motorcycle drift video, featuring Nick Brocha on a stretched Kawasaki ZX-10R scorching rubber with Jim Guthrie on a Corvette-powered Mazda RX7, the guys set out to one-up themselves. With this video, I think it’s safe to say “Mission Accomplished.” This time around, Brocha is joined by Ernie Vigil and they’re riding modified Triumph Speed Triples.
