The Vulcan 500 LTD gets its power from a 498cc parallel-twin, based on the same engine that powers the NINJA 500R sportbike. Liquid cooling helps this cruiser maintain consistent operating temperatures for longer engine life and sustained power. The engine has also been tuned to deliver power as suited to boulevard cruising as it is to more spirited riding. The six-speed transmission, complete with Kawasakis exclusive Positive Neutral Finder, allows riders to use the engine to its full potential. Providing support for a saddle thats just 28 inches from the ground, it puts just about any size rider at ease. Intermot 2012: Kawasaki Z800 Revealed in Cologne
Wed, 03 Oct 2012As expected, Kawasaki unveiled a new mid-sized model to its Z lineup at the 2012 Intermot show in Cologne, Germany. The new 2013 Z800 slots into Kawasaki’s European lineup replacing the Z750 below the Z1000. The Z800 also arrives as Kawasaki celebrates the 40th anniversary of the original Z1.

Pockets bulging with funny money I headed to the Tabac for the obligatory bangers, dirty playing cards and some sweets. Then it happened, I stood in front of the magazine rack and reached up, as if drawn by an external force. At the time I wasn’t tall enough for Playboy or L’ Escort so settled for a copy of Moto Verte, the French motocross mag. Life would never be the same again. Inside there was a double page spread, with a fresh faced Jeremy McGrath resting a leg over his #15 Honda CR125. Sporting a pair of fluro MX trousers with a, now retro, bright white surname emblazoned jersey, and casting an eye over a seriously vast motocross park. I stared at this Sinisalo advert all the way home, partly because all the articles were in foreign, but also because I was transfixed. What and how do I become a motocross champion?
2013 AMA Supercross Daytona Race Report
Mon, 11 Mar 2013Ryan Villopoto won his fifth main event race of the year at Daytona to take over the lead in the 2013 AMA Supercross championship standings. The win is the third at Daytona in the Monster Energy Kawasaki racer’s career, matching the totals set by Bob Hannah, Mike Kiedrowski, Jeremy McGrath and Chad Reed. Only Ricky Carmichael, who designed the sand-based Daytona track, holds more Supercross wins at Daytona with five victories.
