Kawasaki Voyager XII description
I have for sale a 1997 Voyager XII Zg 1200. The bike is in running rideable condition. I inherited this bike last summer from my father who bought a new bike and gave me this one. He had this bike since 2008 and he took pretty good care of it.
There are a few things I should point out about the bike. It will need a speedometer drive installed. I have the new cable, but not the drive. There is a crack in the windshield, that my father drilled a small hole in the end of to keep it from spreading. The plastic on the tank/battery cover has a couple cracks in it. I just replaced the battery last month. The vinyl on the front part of the seat began to split when I was riding in the cold over the winter..It has been patched with leather a shoe epoxy. The radio works, but never tested the tape player. Same with the C.B. It lights up and turns on but I never tested it because I never had the mike set up. The left rear speaker rubber mounts tore and it is zipped tied on. This bike ran very well for me this past fall, winter and spring. It is a very comfortable bike for long rides and has plenty of power. I do also have the drivers back rest and the complete service manual. Please look at the pictures and please feel free to ask any questions you may have. The bike is located in Carlisle, Pa. 17015 |

Combat mask: Kawasaki has upgraded the Ninja 650
Mon, 02 Sep 2019Now the Ninja 650 is stylistically similar to the Ninja 400, the ZX-6R, and the 'one-liter' Versys. The optics are LED, the visor is narrower and higher. The second upgrade is a new 4.3-inch TFT instrument panel that can connect to a smartphone via the Rideology app.
A Weighty Issue
Mon, 03 Nov 2008For as long as I can remember, motorcycle manufacturers have been playing fast and loose with regard to what they claim for the weight of their bikes. The “dry weights” they foisted upon us had little basis in reality. The “dry” part of that claim meant that listed weights on a spec chart were the result of all fluids being MIA from the bike, including necessities like engine oil, coolant and fork fluid (not to mention fuel), but even that didn’t fully explain the overly optimistic specs.
Thief Steals Motorcycle from Crash Victim
Tue, 07 Aug 2012It already sucks when you’re involved in a motorcycle crash. I found that out myself first-hand recently. It’s even worse however when someone steals your bike while you’re lying on the ground with severe injuries.
