2012 Kawasaki Z1000, VANCE & HINES SLIPONS, TAG HANDLEBARS, UNDERTAIL KIT, FRAME SLIDERS - Super Futuristic, Super Fast, Super Fun A thrill to look at, a thrill to ride. The Z1000 – carving a powerful line as it cuts through the atmosphere and even as it stands still – is one of those rare motorcycles that balance a distinctive aesthetic with an engine that pumps out arm-straightening power. Completely redesigned two years ago, the Z1000s aggressive bodywork reveals the design teams attention to detail. The aesthetic showcase begins with a low-mount front cowl that slopes back radically, highlighting the Zs prow and, behind it, an adjustable instrument cluster featuring a multi-function LCD display covered by a trick-looking orange lens. The line-beam headlights guts are integrated nicely into that angled cowl. Moving rearward, you come to a shapely fuel tank thats flared on the sides to let you grab it with your knees and thats trim at the back for a snug fit. The seat is low and narrow at the front to make ground contact easy, and flows beautifully rearward to end in a futuristically retro LED tail light behind a red lens. Its a thoroughly athletic shape, one sure to garner attention wherever its ridden.

2012 Kawasaki Versys 1000 Makes North American Debut in Canada
Wed, 11 Jan 2012As we’ve previously reported, the new Kawasaki Versys 1000 will not be imported to the U.S, but it will be available in North America in Canada as a 2012 model. Kawasaki Canada presented the Versys 1000 at its display at this past weekend’s North American International Motorcycle Supershow in Toronto, for the new “adventure sport” model’s debut on this side of the Atlantic. While he can’t speak for Kawasaki USA’s decision making, Bob Calwell, district manager for Kawasaki Canada, he does note that the Canadian company does have a history of making different product selections.

Thu, 24 Jun 2010UPDATE: Check out the preview article on Motorcycle.com Very little in the way of detail has been announced, but Kawasaki says the literbike will have a new engine, frame and suspension. Kawasaki has created a new site for the new Ninja at http://www.kawasaki-challenge.com/ with a brief teaser video. Kawasaki has also set up a Twitter feed to reveal more hints about the new ZX-10R.
Lascorz smiling in first post-crash photo
Mon, 02 Jul 2012Nearly three months on since Joan Lascorz's accident in the post-race test at Imola, the first image has appeared showing the Spaniard in good spirits whilst he undergoes rehabilitation. The terrible crash left the 27-year-old factory Kawasaki rider with a fracture to his C6 vertebrae, and fears that it would leave him quadriplegic. Fortunately, as shown in the picture with his raised arm, Lascorz has recovered full sensitivity in his upper limbs.
