Kawasaki Title Sponsor For AMA Road Race Finale At New Jersey Motorsports Park
Fri, 02 May 2014Kawasaki Motors Corp., USA and New Jersey Motorsports Park have announced a new partnership that will see the manufacturer become the title sponsor for AMA Pro Road Racing’s visit to New Jersey Motorsports Park this fall. The weekend of September 13-14, 2014 will be branded as the Kawasaki Devil’s Showdown, and will feature AMA Pro SuperBike, AMA Pro GoPro Daytona SportBike, AMA Pro SuperSport and AMA Pro Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson Series classes. 2013 AMA Supercross Houston Race Report
Mon, 08 Apr 2013Ryan Villopoto captured his fifth-consecutive AMA Supercross win and sixth in seven rounds with a victory in the main event at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas. The Monster Energy Kawasaki rider passed holeshot-taker Mike Alessi on the opening lap and led the rest of the way for the win. Alessi, riding the Motoconcepts Racing Suzuki RM-Z450, remained in the hunt for the first few laps but soon gave way to a group including Team Honda Muscle Milk’s Trey Canard, Red Bull KTM‘s Ryan Dungey and Yoshimura Suzuki’s James Stewart.

Mon, 09 Jun 2014The first ever World Superbike round in Malaysia offered a plenty of drama including both factory Kawasaki riders crashing out on the first lap, a red flagged second race and an overall impressive outing by Aprilia. Under pressure for his lack of results so far this season, Marco Melandri impressed, earning the double for his first career wins on the RSV4 Factory. Aprilia riders led every lap in both races at Sepang, including the red-flagged initial start for Race 2, with Sylvain Guintoli joining his teammate on the podium with a pair of second-place finishes.
