Put a sting in your 2010 Z1000's tail
Fri, 19 Feb 2010SCORPION has released an all-new new silencer for the 2010 Kawasaki Z1000. The slip-on silencer requires no additional modifications: bolt on and go.Consistent power improvements throughout the rev range have been seen, with no adjustments to the fuelling, say Scorpion, with an average increase 3bhp.The new silencer has been acoustically developed to provide a greatly enhanced engine note. This means the bike will be as loud as the original in terms of a dB reading, but the exhaust note offers a deeper growl. However, removable baffles allow the rider to dramatically alter the tone of the exhaust by simply removing one bolt per silencer.
WSBK 2013: Portimao Race Report
Mon, 10 Jun 2013Marco Melandri and Eugene Laverty split a pair of victories at Portugal’s Portimao circuit while Sylvain Guintoli took advantage of some misfortune to his championship rivals to increase his lead in the 2013 World Superbike Championship standings. Guintoli has been leading or sharing the lead in the championship since winning the first race of Round 1 in Australia, but amazingly continues to lead despite having just that single victory after six rounds. The Aprilia rider has accomplished this through his consistency (Guintoli leads all racers with nine podium finishes in 12 races) and ability to finish each race (he’s the only rider in the top seven without a DNF).
Aging Liter: Kawasaki has updated the Versys 1000 crossover
Thu, 29 Nov 2018In addition to the upgraded basic version, the SE version with semi-active suspension is presented. For the 2019 model year, the asphalt tourer, built around a 1,043cc (120 hp and 102 Nm) inline-four, received an electronic throttle, cruise control, KTRC traction control, and Sport, Road, Rain and Rider power modes to choose from. Moreover, the introduction of the IMU inertial sensor, according to Japanese designers, made the electronics work more delicately than before.
