Kawasaki Confirms New Z1000 Arriving at 2013 EICMA Show

Kawasaki confirmed it will introduce a new Z1000 on Nov. 5 during the 2013 EICMA show in Milan. Team Green has been running a teaser campaign for the new Z for a couple of weeks now, so this isn’t exactly surprising news, except to confirm the new model will continue to use the Z1000 designation.

Marco Melandri earned BMW its second ever World Superbike victory to move into second place in the championship standings behind Max Biaggi in the series’ only stop in the United States. Melandri won a red-flagged Race Two at Utah’s Miller Motorsports Park after finishing second to defending WSBK Champion Carlos Checa in Race One to give him 142.5 points on the season, tied with Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes but behind Aprilia‘s Biaggi who leads the way with 160.5 points. Tricked Out ZX-14 to Debut at IMS New York

Among the many bikes set to be unveiled at the New York Cycle World International Motorcycle Show next Friday, is a Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14 tricked out by Steve Kehler at Tricked Out Custom Cycles (TOCC). This ZX-14 sportbike was created as a rolling testament to the success Rickey Gadson earned during his 25 years of motorcycle drag racing. Gadson, an eight-time world champion, will join Kehler for the official unveiling of the bike during the New York IMS show.
