2008 Kawasaki Nomad , Very comfortable, powerful, and reliable cruiser / tourer. Meticulously maintained with full synthetics and garage stored under cover. Has highway pegs, driver backrest, throttle lock, 12V outlet, LED flashing brake light, hard locking saddlebags with chrome top rails, Chrome bottom rails will be included as well - not currently installed. DMY trunk with wraparound backrest for the passenger and chrome rack on top. Custom built solid steel mounting plate for the trunk for a solid platform and safety for the passenger. New Metzler ME888 (with 800 miles on it) on the rear and Metzler ME880 (~2K miles) on the front. Recent full service completed. Blue / Silver beautiful two-tone paint scheme. Currently has a set of Clearwater Krista 2400 lumens (each) LED lights installed that are NOT included at this price. They can remain installed and fully functional for $600. The lights allow for great visibility, both for other drivers to see you and extreme nighttime riding visibility. A dual celebration marking the conclusion of a massive refurbishment project, the fun packed evening also marks the unveiling of Silverstone Motorcycles as the latest Kawasaki dealer in the UK. With a raft of attractions including a special guest appearance by Kawasaki World Superbike star, Tom Sykes, a ticket prize competition for the WSB round itself, plus the chance to ride a Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R round the new Silverstone Stowe circuit over the race weekend, the evening has been conceived as a way of launching the new dealership and welcoming as many Kawasaki fans as possible according to Managing Director, Nikki Lockyer.

Wed, 17 Apr 2013Anti-lock brake technology has become fairly commonplace for motorcycles now, and it sometimes comes as a bit of a surprise when a major manufacturer does not offer ABS as an option on certain models. The European Parliament making ABS mandatory by 2016 has helped push things along, as manufacturers work to equip their models with the technology ahead of the deadline, not just for the European market but also for other markets including the U.S. New documents released by the California Air Resources Board reveal Kawasaki will offer an ABS version for its 2014 Vulcan 1700 cruisers and tourers for American consumers.
