2008 Kawasaki Concours , Bought this bike in April of this year and replace all of the fluids and put in a knew ABS system. The prior owner let it sit too long. I towed it up to Denver and then proceeded with a two week, 4000 mile sojourn throughout the Northern Rockies. The Connie performed flawlessly and if it wasnt for a couple of speeding tickets, it would of been a perfect trip. It's powerful, fast, stable and comfortable even going over 10,000 feet passes. It has an after market Muzzy exhaust system which sounds great without being too loud and adds a few extra ponies. It also has a Corbin seat which is scooped out nicely but a little too firm for me, so I purchased an Air Hawk seat pad which keep me in the saddle for long hours without complaint. It also has a back rest for a passenger. I had Grapevine Kawasaki give it a thorough service and there's no evidence of abuse or crash except the years sitting idle. WSBK 2013: Aragon Race Report
Mon, 15 Apr 2013BMW Motorrad Goldbet racer Chaz Davies scored his first career World Superbike double victory, taking both races at Spain’s Aragon circuit. The wins were the second and third of Davies’ WSBK career (the first came last year at Nurburgring for the ParkinGo Aprilia team) and the second ever double in the series for BMW. The Welsh rider and former AMA Pro Racing competitor has had some success at Aragon, getting his first career WSBK podium at the Spanish track in 2012.
Kawasaki Announces EVO Entry for World Superbike Championship
Mon, 20 Jan 2014Kawasaki announced it will enter a factory-backed EVO-category entry for the 2014 World Superbike Championship. Kawasaki has signed David Salom to ride the EVO Ninja ZX-10R. The team will be run by the same operation behind the non-EVO factory team of Loris Baz and reigning WSBK Champion Tom Sykes, forming a three-rider Kawasaki factory lineup.
Kawasaki Reports Q3 2011-2012 Results
Wed, 01 Feb 2012Kawasaki reported a net profit of 33.7 billion yen (US$441.9 million) for the nine months ended Dec. 31, 2011, but its motorcycle and engine division continues to operate at a loss. The motorcycle and engine division, which also includes ATVs, UTVs, personal watercraft and power products, operated at a loss of 4.58 billion yen (US$60.1 million) over the first three quarters of Kawasaki‘s 2011-2012 fiscal year, including a loss of 2.2 billion yen (US$28.9 million) in the third quarter alone.
