Well Maxxis were bang on with their mileage claims, 6500 miles on the rear and it looks as though there is another 1000. Not bad at all for a set of tyres that cost less than £200. Having lived with the Supermaxx’s Diamonds over the past few months the best thing about these tyres is the mileage range they offer vs cost.

Marco Melandri earned BMW its second ever World Superbike victory to move into second place in the championship standings behind Max Biaggi in the series’ only stop in the United States. Melandri won a red-flagged Race Two at Utah’s Miller Motorsports Park after finishing second to defending WSBK Champion Carlos Checa in Race One to give him 142.5 points on the season, tied with Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes but behind Aprilia‘s Biaggi who leads the way with 160.5 points. Hayes Wins 2012 AMA Superbike Championship with Record 14th Win

Monster Energy Graves Yamaha‘s Josh Hayes has clinched his third consecutive AMA Superbike title with his record 14th win of the season at Homestead-Miami Speedway. The win in the second race of the Miami round was the 31st of Hayes’ career. It followed a rare misstep in Race One which saw Hayes crashing after clipping a curb on the third lap.
