2005 Kawasaki Nomad 11746 miles Fi2000 Digital Fuel Processor Vance & Hines Dual Bagger Exhaust Ported Right side air intake (The popular 'Caddman mod'. Explanation below) Cargo Rack IN PERFECT CONDITION My wife was never really fond of me having a bike, and I have stopped taking it out, so it's time for it to find a new home. This is a lot of bike for the money. It's been a real head turner. HD people are always surprised it's a Kawasaki. I am the second owner. It has been garaged and well maintained. Tires still have a lot of life on them. (see pic) I added a Fi2000 Fuel Processor and ported the right side air intake. The get up and go it gave this already powerful engine was amazing. When you look at a Nomad you notice the two big, chrome air filters. Well, all is not as it seems. The right air cleaner is fake. Here's how it actually works. Air enters the back of the left air cleaner through a small opening, goes through the air filter, travels between the cylinders through a small tube into the fake right side air cleaner, past some emissions devices, and finally makes its way into the actual air intake. A fairly restrictive factory intake. So I replaced the fake right air cleaner with a real open element air filter (K&N filter) and leave the factory left side air cleaner in place. The factory fuel injection system is open loop (no feedback) so increasing the air intake will make the mixture very lean as the computer doesn't compensate for mass air flow. So I added the Fi2000. It has Vance & Hines Dual Bagger Pipes on it. Just sounds mean. Also added a chrome bag rack. Here are the official specs: Kawasaki's profilation of this bike: The new Vulcan 1600 Nomad retains the elegant style of the Vulcan 1500 Nomad, but features more chrome, enhanced passenger comfort, and the big V-twin engine's displacement has been boosted to 1,552cc to give it an even keener powerband. $6,900.00 5052258477

NZ Superbike Series Points Leader Is A Grandfather Of Three!
Tue, 14 Jan 2014Dennis Charlett is stamping his authority on the New Zealand Superbike championship. The 45 year-old father of five and grandfather of three (no, those aren’t typos) won the first three races of the season during the series opener in Christchurch, placing him firmly at the top of the points standings heading into round two at Levels Raceway, near Timaru. The championship favorite certainly got the wake-up call as Taupo’s Suzuki rider Scott Moir raced to a convincing win in Saturday’s Superbike race, while Charlett was forced to settle for fourth place.
Nissin ABS Modulator Recall Explained in NHTSA Documents
Wed, 24 Jul 2013Earlier this month, we published news about an issue with certain Nissin anti-lock brake system modulators that have been connected to recalls in Canada and Japan from Honda, Suzuki and Kawasaki, with the possibility of it expanding to further models and manufacturers using the same component. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has now released documents from American Honda’s recall of ABS-equipped CTX700 and CTX700N that shed some more light into the issue. According to the documentation, a manufacturing error may have resulted in Nissin ABS modulators being contaminated with aluminum chips.
Isle of Man TT 2013: Lightweight TT Race Results
Fri, 07 Jun 2013James Hillier set new lap time and race time records in a dominating victory in the Lightweight TT race for the 2013 Isle of Man TT. All three of the Kawasaki rider’s lap times were faster than the previous lap record for the Lightweight TT class, for a record overall time of 57:42.245 and average speed of 117.694 mph. The race started with another Kawasaki rider (the class is dominated with Kawasaki Ninja 650s with a few Suzuki SV650s) Dean Harrison taking the early lead through the Glen Helen viewpoint but Hillier was right on his tail about half a second behind.
