For starters this was the first year of production of the ZX12R. They produced 1000's of green bikes but only 450 red. As of 2 years ago US DMV records showed only 9 red as being registered. That being said along with being a one owner bike showroom kept with only 2800 miles and all the extras mentioned in the listing I would say its RARE.

 I am listing this for an adult friend of mine . He has been a professional auto and motorcycle tech for over 45 years. Please refer ALL questions to him as I know very little about this RARE bike other than it is IMMACULATE. This is what I do know. It was purchased by him New 1n 2000 and has only 2814 miles. The motor is stock and has not been tampered with other than exhaust and a power commander. The 6"extended swingarm was custom fabricated by him.The wheels, swingarm, and other parts were chromed.The sprockets were replaced with anodized and chain was replaced with a heavy duty gold replacement. A high performance air shifter was added. Please do your Kawasaki homework as this is no run of the mill bike. Tricked Out ZX-14 to Debut at IMS New York

Among the many bikes set to be unveiled at the New York Cycle World International Motorcycle Show next Friday, is a Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14 tricked out by Steve Kehler at Tricked Out Custom Cycles (TOCC). This ZX-14 sportbike was created as a rolling testament to the success Rickey Gadson earned during his 25 years of motorcycle drag racing. Gadson, an eight-time world champion, will join Kehler for the official unveiling of the bike during the New York IMS show.

With the AMA Supercross season now over, the American Motorcyclist Association congratulates the three riders who claimed AMA No. 1 plates during the 2014 AMA Supercross season — Ryan Villopoto, 450SX champion; Justin Bogle, 250SX East champion; and Jason Anderson, 250SX West champion. Ryan Villopoto, from Seattle, Wash., locked up his fourth straight AMA Supercross premier class title in the series’ penultimate round, clinching at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.
