Kawasaki Other description

I've got a KZ750R1 GPZ Cafe Racer project, the bike is a 1982 with 20k miles. I got it this year from the person who started the project, the bike was running fine.

Over the summer I put maybe 150 miles on the bike, fixed a few things (new chain, new starter). Unfortunately the motor needs to be replaced or rebuilt now (the bike does not run) and I just don't have the time and am not a motorcycle mechanic (I am relocating to TX).

A few other details:

  • custom kerker exhaust
  • integrated directionals in the rear lights
  • cafe handle bars
  • new starter motor
  • new chain
  • recently changed oil
  • cover, lock and helmet included

It's a sharp looking bike with a lot of potential.

Let me reiterate that the motor needs to be replaced. After spending several hours my mechanic identified that the motor was "basically shot and needed to be either replaced with a new Motor or rebuilt (with some pieces being re-machined)".

WSBK 2012: Assen Results

Mon, 23 Apr 2012

The Netherlands hosted a dramatic weekend of World Superbike racing that featured a red-flagged wet race, several riders crashing while leading, a first-time race winner, a photo finish between two teammates and the reigning World Champion finishing out of the points because of a poor choice of tires. The 2011 WSBK Champion Carlos Checa arrived at Assen with the lead in the championship and a three-race winning streak, but opting to run wet tires in Race Two cost him the lead and may have contributed to a crash that severely injured Liberty Racing‘s Brett McCormick. Tested: Maxxis Supermaxx Diamond

Fri, 23 Sep 2011

Well Maxxis were bang on with their mileage claims, 6500 miles on the rear and it looks as though there is another 1000. Not bad at all for a set of tyres that cost less than £200. Having lived with the Supermaxx’s Diamonds over the past few months the best thing about these tyres is the mileage range they offer vs cost.
