Kawasaki Other description

1981 Kawasaki KZ440

Condition: Runs and drives good with freshly painted frame and tank (no rust inside).

1. Frame and tank painted black with many other parts powder coated black.
2. Brand new pair of Mikuni VM 32 Carbs, pods and throttle cable $400 only 350 miles on them.
3. New shorty levers and master cylinder
4. New rear shocks
5. New handmade retro headlight
6. New speedo and mount
7. New rear blinkers
8. Newish tires pry about 500 miles on them.
9. Rizoma bars
10. New Mac Exhaust

Overall - the bike is in good condition and I have added some upgrades. I added brand new Mikuni  slide carbs and I have driven the bike about 500 miles since I  purchased it with zero issues.

This would be a good base for a cafe or brat build as it is mechanically sound.

What is needed: It will need larger main jets as it runs a little rich and it will also need the seat to be upholstered.

I also have tons of original parts (fenders, shocks, tach, speedo, gaskets and new old stock parts) that will be included in the sale.

NOTE: Buyer is responsible for shipping or pick up.

Team Segway Racing MotoCzysz will again return to the TT Zero with past TT Zero winners Mark Miller and Michael Rutter as its riders in the 2012 race. The Isle of Man TT press office today announced a total of 18 entrants in the 2012 SES TT Zero electric motorcycle race — a record number of riders according to the IoM TT website.

BSB 2012; Mystic Mac investigates

Tue, 03 Jan 2012

In my opinion, the smartest move in the BSB off season has to be Michael Laverty moving from Swan Yamaha to HM Plant Honda. With a ban on electronics for 2012, and in particular traction control, WFR's Graham Gowland has already proved to Laverty how competitive an EVO spec Fireblade can be - so I’m tipping both these riders to be bang on the money at the Brands Hatch season opener in April. Unlike BMW, Kawasaki and Yamaha, Honda have deliberately developed their road-going Superbike without electronics to give a user friendly feel with good mechanical traction, so it’ll be interesting to see how the opposition copes with their high-tech trickery stripped off.

WSBK 2013: Donington Park Race Report

Mon, 27 May 2013

Tom Sykes had an outstanding weekend in front of his home fans, scoring a pair of wins at the World Superbike Championship round at the United Kingdom’s Donington Park. The Kawasaki racer led every session from first qualifying onwards, before leading all 23 laps in both races for the double. The double victory brings Sykes to within 4 points of series leader Sylvain Guintoli who had a decent weekend himself with a pair of podium finishes.
