Kawasaki Other description

Took a long time to get it where it is now and as much as I do love it and after sooo many hours and lots of $$$ gone she has to go . Other priorities coming up so life moves on. New : powder coated everything you see in burnt orange, brake pads ,wheel bearings, Delkevic 4 into 1 exhaust, superbike handles, end bar mirrors, battery,LED taillight, rear shocks, dual headlights, seat of of a KZ1000 redone for single rider, pods, carbs cleaned and rejected for the aftermarket exhaust, new tires ,plugs and synthetic oil and some stuff I probably forgot. Looks great sounds like a beast and runs great. Will keep up with pretty much anything on the road today . Registered as historic but will pass inspection anywhere I'm sure. I did not cut the frame like everyone is doing and have everything that came off except the seat and exhaust since they were in bad shape so if want to put it back to stock it should be all there All parts that I have go with it including an extra set of carbs.

Who To Watch In AMA Pro Superbike This Weekend

Tue, 11 Mar 2014

Photo: Brian J. Nelson Even though reigning AMA Pro Superbike champ Josh Herrin has left the series to try his hand in the Moto2 series, the Superbike field is still filled deep with talent heading into this weekend’s series opening round at Daytona. Here are just a few names to keep an eye on this weekend.

BSB 2012; Mystic Mac investigates

Tue, 03 Jan 2012

In my opinion, the smartest move in the BSB off season has to be Michael Laverty moving from Swan Yamaha to HM Plant Honda. With a ban on electronics for 2012, and in particular traction control, WFR's Graham Gowland has already proved to Laverty how competitive an EVO spec Fireblade can be - so I’m tipping both these riders to be bang on the money at the Brands Hatch season opener in April. Unlike BMW, Kawasaki and Yamaha, Honda have deliberately developed their road-going Superbike without electronics to give a user friendly feel with good mechanical traction, so it’ll be interesting to see how the opposition copes with their high-tech trickery stripped off.

Laguna Seca Superbike race: 1979

Tue, 09 Nov 2010

Got to apologise for the mogadon-inspired soundtrack but this 1979 Kawasaki promo vid' is worth watching just for the footage of Freddie Spencer and Wes Cooley. Watch the slo-mo of Cooley's GS1000 Suzuki on the brakes. It's horrendous.
