For Sale is my 1978 KZ1000 LTD in very good condition runs strong very fast.Paint is original and in very nice condition , the Clutch and Transmission are perfectly smooth.
The bike has many new parts including, Regulator/Rectifier,Horn,Hand Grips, new Mirrors, OEM Ignition Advancer,New OEM Starter Ignition Headlight Switch, Spark Plugs and Caps, Point &Condensor, Mac 4 into 2 Exhaust, and a brand new Interstate sealed case Battery. The Head and Cylinders have been serviced, Honed new Rings, Head has been serviced wirh all new oil seals, Cam Chain Idler sprockets, Idler assembly,Tensioner, and all new rubber dampers. The Carburetors are completely cleaned rebuilt and have been modified with Dynajet Stage 3 to accommodate the Pods. The Bike will need new tires . The bike is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end this Auction at any time due to this. I do not ship so the buyer must arrange shipment and pay a $500.00 non refundable deposit at Auction end with full remaining payment paid within 48 hours of Auction end .Selling in the lower 48 US states only ... BSB 2012; Mystic Mac investigates
Tue, 03 Jan 2012In my opinion, the smartest move in the BSB off season has to be Michael Laverty moving from Swan Yamaha to HM Plant Honda. With a ban on electronics for 2012, and in particular traction control, WFR's Graham Gowland has already proved to Laverty how competitive an EVO spec Fireblade can be - so I’m tipping both these riders to be bang on the money at the Brands Hatch season opener in April. Unlike BMW, Kawasaki and Yamaha, Honda have deliberately developed their road-going Superbike without electronics to give a user friendly feel with good mechanical traction, so it’ll be interesting to see how the opposition copes with their high-tech trickery stripped off.

Tue, 04 Oct 2022Showa me the money I was all Pavlov dogging when I read that the KX450SR “features elite-level racing components, special tuning and design elements inspired by the Monster Energy Kawasaki race team,” only to suffer slight cotton mouth when I learned that consists of nothing more than new SHOWA suspension components front and rear. I mean, obviously great suspension is critical to motorcycles that leap 40 feet into the air, but I felt like I was led to believe there’d be more. In fact, the rest of the 2022 package was already so blinged out, there wasn’t much more Kawasaki could add.

It was August 1980 and Lawson was undergoing a titanic scrap for the AMA title with Wes Cooley and Freddie Spencer here at Pocono Raceway in Philladelphia. The circuit is known as the 'Tricky Triangle' amongst the NASCAR drivers but the superbikes used a mix of infield and sections of the banked circuit.
