Kawasaki Other description

Up for auction is my 1978 KZ1000A2.  31,1XX miles believed to be original miles.  Engine Number: KZT00AE-069280 Frame Number: KZT00A-516123.

Engine runs strong, shifts, and brakes as it should. No smoke.  Everything works.  Carbs have been rebuilt and tuned.  Petcock rebuilt.  Here is some additional information:

Accel Coils
4 into 1 exhaust
Brand new paint
95% tread on tires
New emblems

This is an unrestored bike but is very presentable.  The 77&78 KZ 1000's are quickly becoming collector bikes as they are much like the Z1 900's with 112 more cc s.

Got to apologise for the mogadon-inspired soundtrack but this 1979 Kawasaki promo vid' is worth watching just for the footage of Freddie Spencer and Wes Cooley. Watch the slo-mo of Cooley's GS1000 Suzuki on the brakes. It's horrendous.

46,061 Motorcycles Stolen in US in 2012

An average of 126 motorcycles were stolen in the U.S. every day in 2012, according to a report released by the the National Insurance Crime Bureau. That’s from a total of 46,061 motorcycles reported stolen that year a 1.3% improvement from the 46,667 motorcycles reported stolen in 2011.

During last weekend’s round of the eMotoRacing series, held at New Jersey Motorsports Park, the series had a special entry. Mixed among the Brammo TTXs and Empulse Rs that are normally seen in the series, the Bolt II electric motorcycle from Virginia Tech University filled a grid slot amongst them.
