1977 Kawasaki Kz 1000, 77' KZ1000 custom, fresh valve job on head with all new valve guides, new piston rings installed, new timing chain and all cam followers/sprockets, electronic ignition system, new plug wires, new battery, Mikuni 34 MM flat slide carbs with K&N filters, Kerker pipe, Borrani wire wheels, aftermarket forks, brakes and handle bars. this bike is loaded with a lot of chrome and polished parts. a little carb tuning needed. Under pressure for his lack of results so far this season, Marco Melandri impressed, earning the double for his first career wins on the RSV4 Factory. Aprilia riders led every lap in both races at Sepang, including the red-flagged initial start for Race 2, with Sylvain Guintoli joining his teammate on the podium with a pair of second-place finishes.
