Kawasaki Other description

Up for auction is my low mileage 1975 Kawasaki S1 C Mach I 250 frame number S1F-20208 and engine number S1E-21515 making this a numbers matching correct original example. The build date reads 11/74. This is an original S1 example and would be an ideal candidate of a rare Kawasaki model to do a restoration with since it is so original and is a good, solid starting point for a restoration. It is mostly complete as you can see from the pictures. Most of the hard to find parts including the air box rear grab bar, side covers etc. are present and in restorable conditions.  The original Kawasaki chrome including the front fender, rims and handlebars are in presentable condition.  The motorcycle has 1,611 original miles and the overall condition of this original S1 leads me to believe this is the actual mileage as this S1 has been stored for sometime prior to being acquired by me.

The bodywork on this S1 is original and could be used as is or easily re-painted to show quality.  The fuel tank is very solid and was drained with the inside being very clean.  The tank shows no signs of major rust and is a good, solid tank. All the body work is in nice restorable condition with no visible major damage.  The gauges and dashboard are the correct originals and the gauges show very nicely.  All control switches are present and in very nice condition mounted to original and correct handlebars.  Fork ears and the headlight bucket are also restorable as is the chain guard. The bike also still appears to sport the original tires as well. The hard to find rear grab bar is also mounted and in nice condition. This S1 is in a very clean overall condition as well.

Mechanically, this S1 has not been run is some time and thus the low mileage.  It currently turns over smoothly with good compression and will need some general maintenance if it is to be enjoyed without a restoration.  I would imagine that the engine is barely broken in with this low of mileage and this is one of the reasons I targeted this particular S1 example as I thought it would be the perfect restoration candidate.  Correct original carburetors as well as intake boots and the air box assembly are also mounted in their correct orientations.

Overall, this is a very complete and original S1 that would be an ideal restoration candidate because of its originality and the fact that it is so complete and because of the fact that it is an extremely low mileage example which is very difficult to find. I also have the original Kawasaki key to go with this motorcycle as well as a clear title.  I am sure the new owner of this S1 will appreciate its originality and will have a very nice Kawasaki that has the vintage Kawasaki Triple Cylinder Heritage instilled in it.

Regarding Payment and Shipping, I will accept a wire transfer or a certified check for the S1.  Payment must be received within 10 days of the close of the auction.  I will and can assist with shipping this bike anywhere in the USA or any other country in the World.  I have exported many motorcycles to Australia, Japan, France and the rest of Europe and have many different channels to get bikes exported for a reasonable cost and safely. I can also work directly with your shipper if you are outside the U.S.A to get this motorcycle to you.  I can help with the paperwork and any customs forms free of charge as well.  We can work together and get this bike to you if you are outside the USA-it is no problem at all.  I can also deliver this bike to Forward Air free of charge or may be able to deliver within 500 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  The bike is sold as is.

Please feel free to contact me via the ask seller a question link on this auction listing or call me (Kurt) directly at 651-895-5155.  I am more than happy to answer any questions you may have regarding this S1.  Also, please look at my feedback and bid with complete confidence.  I only offer the finest NOS parts and rare motorcycles from my collection and I have thousands of happy customers around the world.

Kawasaki Reveals Supercharged Inline-Four Engine

Wed, 20 Nov 2013

Kawasaki announced it is developing what it calls the world’s first supercharger developed by a motorcycle manufacturer. The giant Japanese company called on its extensive experience in working with turbine engines, and distilled the technology for motorcycle applications, showing a supercharged Inline-Four engine at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show. No details were given on the size of the sample engine, though diagrams included in Kawasaki’s patent applications for motorcycle superchargers include one image that looks vaguely similar to the Ninja ZX-14R.
