Kawasaki Ninja description

I have a brand new ninja 250R for sale. I bought it new earlier this year. It is in perfect condition and had the 600 mile service done already. (valued at $400) Still has factory warranty through January 2014. It has been broken in properly and is ready to roll. I have upgraded the exhaust system with a Two Brothers aluminum exhaust which cost $350. The bike has very low miles at  1,015. It is a beautiful bike for someone looking into a starter street bike - a great ride and 50-60 mpg! I will entertain any reasonable offers if interested. Buyer assumes shipping responsibility. I own the title and it is clean.

Kawasaki Celebrates 40th Anniversary of Z1

Mon, 16 Apr 2012

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the ground-breaking Kawasaki Z1 which made its public debut in 1972, becoming what many would regard as the world’s first superbike. Kawasaki’s first large-capacity four-stroke multi-cylinder motorcycle took center stage at the 1972  IFMA, the precursor to the INTERMOT show in Cologne, Germany. Together with the Honda CB750, the Kawasaki Z1 helped spearhead the popularity of the Japanese Inline-Four.

A Weighty Issue

Mon, 03 Nov 2008

For as long as I can remember, motorcycle manufacturers have been playing fast and loose with regard to what they claim for the weight of their bikes. The “dry weights” they foisted upon us had little basis in reality. The “dry” part of that claim meant that listed weights on a spec chart were the result of all fluids being MIA from the bike, including necessities like engine oil, coolant and fork fluid (not to mention fuel), but even that didn’t fully explain the overly optimistic specs.

EICMA 2011: Kawasaki Versys 1000 Not Coming to U.S.

Wed, 09 Nov 2011

While Kawasaki unveiled its Versys 1000 at EICMA, don’t expect to see it on American roadways any time soon (edit: but if you live north of the border in Canada you’re in luck, as it will offered for CN$13,999, a bit higher than the Z1000 but the same price as the Ninja 1000): What will we be missing? A bigger, badder version of the original Kawasaki Versys seems to be the answer. “Created as the long-awaited big brother of Kawasaki’s mid-size any-road street surfer, the new Versys 1000 is designed to enable the greatest riding enjoyment in the widest variety of street riding situations,” Kawasaki Motors Europe says in a release.
