Kawasaki Ninja description

I am the second owner of this Ninja 250r and purchased it from a guy in Denton with only 5,058 miles on it in August of 2012. I have never dropped or laid the bike on the ground. The previous owner claimed that the bike has never been dropped or laid down and the small scratches on the right fairing came from scraping the bike against a parked car. The bike currently has 13,066 miles on it as of October 1st, 2013. Most of which are city miles with short jonts on the highway.  It is my daily rider so the millage will be slightly higher than stated. I am selling because I will be moving to college soon and will be needing the extra money. This bike has always been garaged.

There is no better bike to learn on than a Ninja 250r. I thought about starting on a 600 but I am glad I chose this bike. It is far more manageable and is cheap n
o parts, insurance, and gas. Ten bucks fills her up and I get a constant 70mpg with city riding. Plus this bike is fast than most cars on the road so long as you don't weigh 200lbs.

Aesthetics- Over all the bike is in beautiful condition and the few defects are only noticeable up close. I have had multiple people ask me if it was a bigger bike and were shocked to hear it was only a 250! Also the Two Brothers exhaust sounds amazing.

Reliability- I have never had a single problem with the bike. The engine, transmission, clutch, frame, suspension, and electronics all work perfectly. The bike has never seen a race track and rides as perfect on the day I bought it.

Maintenance- I have changed the oil every 3000 miles with 10-W40 full synthetic motorcycle oil as well as replaced the oil filter. I have cleaned and lubed the chain every 400 miles with chain cleaner and chain lube, NO WD-40. I had the last valve adjustment done at 8,000 miles and the next one is due around 16,000 miles. I also had the same shop clean the carburetor while the bike was being serviced. The clutch and throttle cables have been freshly lubed and I just replaced the front brake pads with EBC HH high performance pads. The rear brake pads still have pleanty of friction material left on them.

Extras
- The biggest thing would be the Two Brothers slip-on exhaust. Makes the 250r sound like a monster coming down the road. Second, I have replaced the stock handle bars for a set of clip-ons, this gives the bike a more aggressive ridding position. The bike also has frame-sliders, a must for new riders or anyone in general. The bike has a progrip tank-pad that may need replacing soon. They run for like 15 bucks on amazon.

OEM stuff- I still have the stock exhaust, stock handle-bars, and mirrors for the bike if you want them. You can put them back on your self or let me know a week in advance and I'll put them back on for you. Also the original tool kit comes with the bike. The motorcycle stand in the pictures does not come with the bike.

I have a clean title in hand and will sign it over to you upon purchase.
I just spent 200+ bucks on tires and will have them put on for you so my price is FIRM. The buyer is responsible for picking up the bike or if you live within the northern DFW area I can ride it to you so long as I can get a ride back.

Send me an email if you have any questions, I would be happy to answer. Thank you for looking and maybe ill see you on the road.

ABS Option Coming for 2014 Kawasaki Vulcan 1700 Classic, Nomad and Vaquero

Wed, 17 Apr 2013

Anti-lock brake technology has become fairly commonplace for motorcycles now, and it sometimes comes as a bit of a surprise when a major manufacturer does not offer ABS as an option on certain models. The European Parliament making ABS mandatory by 2016 has helped push things along, as manufacturers work to equip their models with the technology ahead of the deadline, not just for the European market but also for other markets including the U.S. New documents released by the California Air Resources Board reveal Kawasaki will offer an ABS version for its 2014 Vulcan 1700 cruisers and tourers for American consumers.

2014 AMA Supercross – Phoenix Results

Mon, 13 Jan 2014

Kawasaki‘s Ryan Villopoto nabbed a hard-earned first victory of the 2014 AMA Supercross season, overcoming a poor start that saw him ninth after the first lap for the win. The three-time reigning champion found himself well back after the first corner as Yoshimura Suzuki‘s Jake Moss took the holeshot ahead of Yamaha‘s Justin Brayton and the KTM‘s Ryan Dungey. Brayton took over the lead by the second corner and would stay in front for the first 13 laps.
