Unmolested with only 5045 miles. This bike is factory stock except for the D&D muffler and aftermarket miniature rear signal lights. The stock muffler and stock signals come with the bike. Adult ridden. Oil changed at just under 5000 miles. Always garaged and covered. Tires are good. Paint is pristine. Title is clear. $500 deposit within 48 hours of auction end or bike will be re-listed. Balance in cash or certified cashier's check within 7 days of auction end or bike will be re-listed. Arrangements for shipping or pickup within 7 days of auction end or bike will be re-listed. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. Can deliver or ride it to your location within a reasonable negotiated distance (about 200 miles) for 50 cents/mile. Bike is also listed for sale locally. However, two unfortunate and costly blows hit the paddock; the banning of tobacco advertising in 2005 followed by the global economic crisis. The off-shoot saw grid numbers drastically dwindle with staple teams, like Kenny Roberts' outfit, and manufacturers, Kawasaki and Suzuki, succumbing to the events and disappearing.
WSBK 2013: Assen Race Report
Mon, 29 Apr 2013Tom Sykes earned his first win of the 2013 season and came a hair short of a double victory at the World Superbike Championship round at Assen in the Netherlands. Traditionally a fast starter and qualifier, Sykes started on the pole once again at Assen and had strong starts in both races. But unlike the first two rounds where he started strong before fading, the Kawasaki factory rider was able to remain at the front in both races at Assen and earn some valuable championship points.
Classic Japanese Bikes Highlight Bonhams’ Next Auction
Mon, 07 Oct 2013Bonhams’ annual fall auction, the Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show, at Stafford County Showground is scheduled for October 20, 2013. Included in the auction is the above pictured 1974 Kawasaki H1-RW 500cc triple. Expected to sell for approximately $96,000 to $112,000, the Japanese works Grand Prix racer is one of only two machines built by the factory for the French Kawasaki importer SIDEMM for use in the 500cc World Championship. The bikes were ridden during the 1974 season by the French endurance racing specialist Christian Léon and French-Canadian Formula 750 star Yvon Duhamel.
