Kawasaki Ninja description

This 2006 Kawasaki ZX10R has always been garage kept. The bike has a custom 300 fat tire kit. The bike runs great and has absolutely no issues. I am selling my bike because I'm buying a house and I need to pay some bills which sucks! It is what it is. The bike has some cosmetic issues which you should be able to make out on the pics. If not ask for more pics. In the pics you will see a ding in the frame on both sides which was caused by my friend backing his truck into the bike. This bike has NEVER been dropped....! I have taken the bike to three local buy shops to determine a fair asking price. All three agreed that I should be asking for at least $7500.00. However, that is retail price. I am a private seller so that in my opinion is TOO DAMN MUCH. I think they came up with that number because the swingarm was custom made in order to keep the dual exhaust which in my opinion make the bike look like a beast. I didnt want the shorty pipe. If you want a shorty pipe thats OK because nothing has been changed that would not allow you too do so. The custom 300 kit was $4800.00 by its self. FYI: the orange and black in the wheels chop forward and reverse at certain speeds which freaks people out....LOL....Anyway, let me be clear that I WILL take less than $7500.00. This bike has the stock engine with absolutely no mods. 2 JMax helmets and battery tender are included. If you have any questions feel free to contact me. Cash or Certified check only. No riders unless you have one or the other. Thanks for looking.!

Small-Displacement Class Considered for 2015 AMA Pro Racing Season

Wed, 04 Dec 2013

More and more manufacturers are entering the small-displacement sportbike market and AMA Pro Racing has taken notice, opening the possibility of adding a new racing class representing the growing segment. With plans to consolidate the Daytona Sportbike and Supersport classes and the Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson series signed through 2015, a spot will open up on race weekends for another racing class to support the premier Superbike Championship. The logical choice is to introduce a new small-displacement class.

Nissin ABS Modulator Recall Explained in NHTSA Documents

Wed, 24 Jul 2013

Earlier this month, we published news about an issue with certain Nissin anti-lock brake system modulators that have been connected to recalls in Canada and Japan from Honda, Suzuki and Kawasaki, with the possibility of it expanding to further models and manufacturers using the same component. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has now released documents from American Honda’s recall of ABS-equipped CTX700 and CTX700N that shed some more light into the issue. According to the documentation, a manufacturing error may have resulted in Nissin ABS modulators being contaminated with aluminum chips.

AMA Pro Racing Announces Basic Twins Flat Track Class for 2014 Season

Fri, 12 Apr 2013

AMA Pro Racing announced a new class for Flat Track racing designed to provide a new stepping stone for up-and-coming Pro-licensed racers, replacing the Pro Singles class in 2014. The new class, to be called Basic Twins, is more or less a revival of the Basic Expert Twins division that ran during the 2007 and 2008 seasons, but dropped when the Pro Singles class was introduced for 2009. The new class will give young racers a chance to showcase their skills on Twins, easing their transition to eventually enter the Grand National Expert Twins class.
