Kawasaki Ninja description

2000 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-12R, like new in every way. No scratches, dings, or dents. Paint is flawless, completely stock and unmolested bike (besides Yoshimura bolt-on exhaust and K&N airfilters). Bike has had all services done by dealership since new , yes I have all receipts. Valve inspection and adjustment, valve cover gasket set, engine ice coolant flush, new K&N air filters, NGK iridium plugs, 10w-40 Amsoil synthetic oil w/ K&N oil filter just done. (Less than 400 miles ago). Fuel injectors service and clean, new Pirelli Diablo tires, chain adjustment, cables lubricated completed beginning of last season (1600 miles ago).

This is the only year Kawasaki made this an unrestricted hyper-sport bike. After 2000 all production bikes were limited to 186mph. Being unrestricted means it is capable of hitting just over 200mph out of the box. The bike truly is in mint condition with no flaws. I am the second owner, I bought it off my Chief Warrant Officer and good friend, before I retired from the Coast Guard. He nicknamed her 'Crazy Betty', and he is the only other person I know that is as anal as I am when it comes to caring for things. The only wax used on this bike has been Zymol Concourse which is $210 for just 8oz and can only be applied by hand. The bike has been pampered, rode properly with 2 wheels down, only adult owned and ridden. There has been more time spent detailing this bike before and after every ride than there has been riding it. Bike has always been stored in a garage, and comes with a Kawasaki dust cover.

Bike also comes with ZX-12R owners appreciation book. Not the sales brochure, but an actual book of about 120 pages that was given to the first purchasers of this bike when it was a new model as a thank you and a celebration of its lineage. Of course, owners manual, tool bag, sales brochure, and complete documented service history come with bike as well.  I also have stock titanium muffler to go with bike.

You can honestly roll this in a showroom with brand new bikes, and people would think it just came out of the crate.

V.I.P treatment for first Dainese D-Air customers

Fri, 08 Jul 2011

To celebrate the release of the D-Air race suit in the UK, Dainese are offering the first 20 customers to order a complete V.I.P treatment at the upcoming World Superbike round at Silverstone. The iconic safety brand will have each of the customer's suits personally tailored, with measurements undertaken by a Dainese D-Air engineer from the factory in Italy. Following this, the first 20 customers to register will receive a hospitality lunch, garage tours of the Aprilia, BMW and Kawasaki teams with the opportunity to meet the Dainese riders and rub well protected shoulders with the big names of the WSB paddock.

2012 Kawasaki Versys 1000 Makes North American Debut in Canada

Wed, 11 Jan 2012

As we’ve previously reported, the new Kawasaki Versys 1000 will not be imported to the U.S, but it will be available in North America in Canada as a 2012 model. Kawasaki Canada presented the Versys 1000 at its display at this past weekend’s North American International Motorcycle Supershow in Toronto, for the new “adventure sport” model’s debut on this side of the Atlantic. While he can’t speak for Kawasaki USA’s decision making, Bob Calwell, district manager for Kawasaki Canada, he does note that the Canadian company does have a history of making different product selections.

This steam powered motorcycle (not a bicycle, 'cos it don't have no pedals), could be perfect for you if you like a brew at short notice on your Sunday ride. Built in 1894, it's about to be auctioned and is expected to reach a world record price (for a kettle). It uses a coal furnace to super-heat water into steam which is fed into a small engine.
