Kawasaki Ninja description

Here we have a beautiful Kawasaki Ninja ZX12R , 1st year model.  This bike is not stock, but a 1270cc Muzzy Nitrous Racebike!  I bought in 2014 and have rarely ridden it.  Between work and having several bikes, it just doesn't get used, and frankly I have not ridden to even 3/4 of its capability!

I had it shipped from NC, where it was built by the 2nd owner.  He got it from a local friend when almost new and modded it around 2008.  The work on this bike was professionally done and many thousands were spent.  It is not some extended 9" swingarm, with a slip-on, and neon light job.  It was built by the longtime Service Manager of a Harley Dealer and was to be raced at the Maxton Mile in NC.  The Maxton a was a top speed run at an old airport and was closed down before the bike could race.  It was built to do 200 MPH, and I have no doubt it would have.

I made a Spreadsheet from what I knew was done with all the details, and can email if interested.  The high points are: 1270 Muzzy Big-Bore Piston Kit, Micron Serpent Full Titanium Exhaust, Dual Bottle Wet & Heated NO2, (40HP Shot),  PCIII, Muzzy 6" Chrome Swingarm, Muzzy Undercut tranny and Race Clutch, Schintz Progressive Controller, Air Shift, Shinko U-Soft rear.  Too much to list, but other goodies include Muzzy Lowering Kit, Custom Mirrors, Proton blinkers, shift light, kill switch, etc.

Again, all the work/wiring is very neat and tidy, the Proton front blinkers are $90 alone (no cheap Chinese parts, everything is quality Japanese or U.S. stuff).

Only 6,000 miles and looks it, though there are some small scuffs & 1 small crack on the RH side fairing (pictured).  Clean title, no disappointments.  After Maxton closed the U-Soft tire was installed and gearing changed for better take-off and streetability.  The owner knew Ryan Schintz and a custom map was installed, the HP is estimated at 200, without the Nitrous, which I've not used.  Have opened one tank as it runs the airshift, which works and is fun.  Make no mistake, it looks stock but is a real monster!  The idle is a little rough (degreed cams), and will run a bit hot in summer stop-and-go traffic, but this thing was made to go very fast, not commute with!

Comes with Original Owner's Manual and stock bits/pieces (I'll look for more and include).  Please don't bid if not serious, no 0 Feedback bidders.  Call 715-392-5057 if any questions.  Sold "as-is", "where-is", remember it's a used 15 year old motorcycle.  Thanks for looking.

Location is NW Wisconsin, about 120 miles north of Mpls. - St. Paul, MN.  Shipping is your responsibility but I'll help with loading.

Former F1 Champ Fittipaldi Producing Limited Edition Kawasaki ZX-10R

Fri, 13 Jul 2012

Emerson Fittipaldi is probably best known for his four-wheel racing career which include two Formula One World Championships, a CART racing title and two Indy 500 victories. What might be less known, at least outside of his native Brazil perhaps, is Fittipaldi owns a pair of Kawasaki motorcycle dealerships. The 65-year-old former racer and his team has produced a limited edition run of 50 Kawasaki ZX-10R sportbikes in the black and gold colors of his 1972 F1 Championship-winning John Player Lotus 72 car.

2014 AMA Supercross – Phoenix Results

Mon, 13 Jan 2014

Kawasaki‘s Ryan Villopoto nabbed a hard-earned first victory of the 2014 AMA Supercross season, overcoming a poor start that saw him ninth after the first lap for the win. The three-time reigning champion found himself well back after the first corner as Yoshimura Suzuki‘s Jake Moss took the holeshot ahead of Yamaha‘s Justin Brayton and the KTM‘s Ryan Dungey. Brayton took over the lead by the second corner and would stay in front for the first 13 laps.

EICMA 2013: 2014 Kawasaki Z1000 First Impressions Video

Tue, 05 Nov 2013

“It looks kind of angry!” That pretty much sums up what Editor-in-Chief Kevin Duke thinks of Kawasaki‘s newly redesigned Z1000 and its “sugomi” design philosophy. And for those of you who feel turned off by today’s machines and their dependance on the latest electronics, Kawasaki says the Z1000 does not have traction control because they want to keep it raw and untamed.
