Kawasaki Ninja description
Priced for a quick sale. Cash only.I'm the 2nd owner of this bike. It has low mileage (less than 9k) but needs some attention. Most of it's life it was stored in a garage but has been outside for the last few months. When I acquired it I paid a mechanic to clean the carbs and do some other misc. tune-up. It was running strong until the rain hit and it sat for a couple months. Now it's acting finicky and I suspect it's something related to the carbs again. When it was running well it overheated fairly easily in stop-and-go traffic so I bought a new thermostat but I haven't taken the time to install it. The rear brakes need to be serviced (sticking) as well but all they should need is pads and a good cleaning/greasing. New pads are included in the sale (but not the installation). The plastic is in attractive condition for the age of the bike. 1 exception is a small area on the right side below the gas tank where I got a little careless with the heat gun while removing decals which left some wrinkling in the plastic. Al of the decals have been removed except for the ones on the tank which are clearcoated over. The bike has a sleek blacked out look and people that aren't familiar with the model are generally curious about it.The bike is pretty much stock except for the vance and hines pipe. I think my friend (the original owner) still has the stock pipe but it's in Maine so I wouldn't be able to get my hands on it for a month or two.Update: My friend knocked the bike over backing out of the driveway with his truck. No damage would have be incurred BUT it happened to fall on a stack of plank siding which took a small chunk out of the upper part of the left fairing (near the left hand grip). Because of this I am lowering the price. The damaged fairing in no way effects the handling and operation of the bike.If you are mechanically inclined or have a mefhanic friend that works on your machines at a reduced rate, this is an amazing bik for the money. Great winter project that will result in some wonderful spring/summer riding!I will consider trades for quality power tools (thickness planer, tablesaw, sliding compound miter saw, etc), a propane refrigerator, a small working tractor, portable sawmill and possibly other things. K-Tech release 25SSK for Big Piston Forks
Mon, 21 May 2012K-Tech have released their popular 25SSK front fork open cartridge system to fit all Showa Big Piston Forks. Here's what K-Tech have to say about them: These lightweight aluminium units are supplied to the same exacting specification as all other 25SSK fitments with 14mm piston rods and a 25mm cartridge tube, the 14mm piston rods displace a large volume of oil through the 25mm control pistons giving enhanced damping characteristics over the standard Big Piston Fork and allow a bigger volume of air for a more precise feel at the bottom of the fork travel. The cartridge kits have compression and rebound adjustment in both legs and are supplied with 1.5mm Flow Control Valves for a more accurate adjustment, all necessary hardware is supplied to convert the Big Piston Forks to take the cartridges but it is necessary to order the springs you require as these are not included, customer price for the 25SSK cartridges is £725.00 + VAT and are available for the following models:- Honda CBR1000RR 2012 Kawasaki ZX6-R 2009-2012 Kawasaki ZX10-R 2011-2012 Suzuki GSXR600 2011-2012 Suzuki GSXR1000 2009-2012 Contact K-Tech on: +44(0)1283 559007.

CHiPs Star Estrada is a Reserve Officer
Wed, 24 Dec 2008The TV show CHiPs was what first got me interested in motorcycles. A young boy when the late 70′s show made its debut on the air, I thought it was extremely cool to be on the California Highway Patrol, but especially so while riding around on a Kawasaki 1000. Erik Estrada even had a cool name and car on the show, going by ‘Ponch’ and driving a Firebird.
