Kawasaki KZ tech info
Kawasaki KZ description
For sale is this 1979 Kawasaki KZ650. VIN KZ650B-531198. Manufactures date of 3/79. The bike has a clear title. It starts, runs and rides very well. Shifts through all the gears smoothly. The exhaust is an aftermarket R.C. 4 into 1. The carburetors have been jetted to match the exhaust for optimum performance. The bike has been in storage for a couple of years and will need a full service before hitting the road. The fork seals are leaking and need to be replaced. The starter will jump out if it turns too many times -- it does not do that if it is ridden regularly. The rear tire is in good condition -- the front tire is worn, but will last the rest of this season. There are no dents in the gas tank and the inside is clean. The front fender is straight with good chrome. There are no cracks or breaks in any of the plastic pieces. All the lights work. Brakes work properly. The tool kit is in the tool box. The seat is not correct, but sits comfy. The paint is not correct -- it was painted to match a bigger cc Kawasaki. Over all, it's a nice bike. Sold as is.
Buyer is responsible for the pickup or delivery of the bike. Either hire a company to do the job, or pick it up yourself. Please have your arrangements for delivery made before the end of the auction. I will accept Paypal or cash, if picking up in person. A $100 non-refundable deposit is required through Paypal within 48 hours of the end of the auction. Payment in full must be received within 3 days of the end of the auction. Thanks for looking!! |

Snowjob
Sun, 05 Feb 2012Is the current weather causing your commute a bit of problem? Sounds like a job for the Snowjob. Pictured here using a Kawasaki, the Snowjob conversion system turns your motorcycle into a jumping, wheelieing snowcycle in less than four hours. Derek Hine designed the Snowjob back in '73, but it looks like it could be just as handy today.

Fri, 07 Jan 2011We all like to save a shilling if we can, especially these days, but sometimes, doing a job yourself, cutting corners and generally grubbing round being tight fisted actually ends up costing you more money than biting the bullet and putting your hand a bit deeper into your pocket to get a proper job done. The problem is, I come from a long line of, erm, frugal Yorkshire b####rds going back generations, and I seem to be hardwired as a bit of a skinflint. My dad, although never actually short of money, that I could remember, didn’t like spending it.

Mon, 07 May 2012It was supposed to be a weekend of celebration. The World Superbike Championship was celebrating its 25th anniversary of racing at Italy’s Monza circuit. Promoters Infront Motorsports brought out 30 landmark Superbikes from the series’ history, while greats such as Fred Merkel, Doug Polen and Carl Fogarty were in attendance for what was supposed to be a weekend to remember.
