Steam Punk Bike
Wed, 19 Jan 2011This steam-punk inspired bike is the work of LA based sculptor and, er, free thinker, Baron Margo. From what we can work out is uses an early eighties air-cooled Z1000 Kawasaki as a base and is cloaked in this hand beaten alloy and copper bodywork. Can’t imagine it’s much fun in a cross wind, though.
Report: 2013 Kawasaki ZX-6R to Return to 636cc Displacement
Fri, 10 Aug 2012Kawasaki is reportedly set to unveil an updated Ninja ZX-6R for he 2013 model year with a return to a 636cc engine displacement. According toMotorcycle News, the 2013 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R will receive a styling refresh to resemble the ZX-10R while bringing back the larger 636cc engine displacement used from 2002 to 2006 (the 2003 ZX-6R is pictured above). The British publication has gotten a hold of spy photos of the new ZX-6R being filmed for a Kawasaki promotional video on the Isle of Man.
WSBK 2013: Moscow Race Report
Mon, 22 Jul 2013Marco Melandri captured his third win of the season, the Ducati 1199 Panigale scored its first podium while Sylvain Guintoli regained the championship lead despite dislocating his collarbone days before the race. But the big news at Moscow Raceway of course was the tragic death of Andrea Antonelli in the World Supersport race. The opening-lap crash in severely wet conditions naturally led to the cancellation of the rest of the events as the World Superbike community mourns the loss of the 25-year-old Antonelli.
