Kawasaki enhances the dynamic excellence of its world championship winning KX450F motocrosser with a new five-speed gearbox plus a host of engine and chassis refinements aimed at increasing its domination over the competition. The 2007 KX450F offers all the dirt-shredding power from last year’s motorcycle, with enhanced bottom end and midrange thrust for even quicker acceleration from the starting gate and stronger drive out of corners. This revised engine tuning is coupled with a new five-speed transmission to allow greater flexibility in gear selection and increase the rider’s options in difficult rhythm sections. Never one to rest on its laurels, Kawasaki also lavished attention upon the KX450F’s frame and suspension. With reduced frame spar rigidity, new fork internals, and the industry’s first diamond like carbon (DLC) coated fork tubes, the ’07 KX450F boasts improved rear wheel traction and suspension action to improve handling, maximize acceleration and offer easier line selection when passing the competition. The new KX450F will be available in Kawasaki lime green, with a new colored surface treatment on wheel hubs and engine covers, and aggressive race team graphics.

WSBK: 2012 Magny-Cours Results – Championship Decided by Half a Point

Tue, 09 Oct 2012

You would think carrying a 30.5 point lead into the final round of the 2012 World Superbike Championship would be a safe enough margin to win the title. Aprilia‘s Max Biaggi made it interesting, inexplicably crashing out of the first race at the finale in Magny-C0urs before scoring a fifth place finish in Race Two to give him a 0.5 point margin over Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes to win the title. The 358 to 357.5 point difference is the narrowest finish ever in WSBK.

Thu, 10 Apr 2014

Having won the opening two rounds of the 2014 Women’s Motocross Championship (WMX) – at the AMA sanctioned Ricky Carmichael Amateur Supercross at Daytona International Speedway in Florida, and at the James Stewart Freestone Spring Championship in Wortham, Texas, Australia’s Mackenzie Tricker comes into this weekend’s race at Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, California, with momentum on her side and a 17-point lead in the series standings. Round three of the Women’s Motocross Championship (WMX) will run in conjunction with the FMF California Classic, which runs from April 9 through April 13, with both WMX motos taking place on Sunday. So far, Tricker has won three of the four motos held to date, and the Yamaha-backed rider is hoping to pad her lead in the series standings with a good finish this weekend.
