2013 Kawasaki Z800 Announced but US Availability Unlikely

Kawasaki announced it will produce a new mid-sized naked streetfigther: the Z800. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look likely the Z800 will be imported to the U.S., but we’ll have to wait for an official word from Kawasaki. The 2013 Kawasaki Z800 is powered by an 806cc inline-four engine with styling inspired by its larger sibling, the Z1000.

Kawasaki Motors Corp., USA and New Jersey Motorsports Park have announced a new partnership that will see the manufacturer become the title sponsor for AMA Pro Road Racing’s visit to New Jersey Motorsports Park this fall. The weekend of September 13-14, 2014 will be branded as the Kawasaki Devil’s Showdown, and will feature AMA Pro SuperBike, AMA Pro GoPro Daytona SportBike, AMA Pro SuperSport and AMA Pro Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson Series classes. Brad Puetz has been promoted to the position of Media Relations Supervisor and will be responsible for developing and implementing new public relations activities and new model launches. Greg Lasiewski will join the Advertising team as Senior Brand Communication/Sponsorship Specialist, managing the development and implementation of sponsorship, lifestyle and marketing programs for KMC.
