Kawasaki KX description

This listing is for a 2002 Kawasaki KX250 in good used condition. I am the 3rd owner. I bought the bike in 2011 with only 10 hrs on it. I am not sure of the total hours on the bike at this point but it has been well maintained and only trail ridden it's whole life. The top end was rebuilt 2 yrs. ago using OEM parts. The bottom end is original and has some hours on it but still runs excellent and has never been opened up or modified. Both rims have small dents from trail riding. The stock pipe is also dented quite a bit but doesn't seem to effect the engine's performance. The bike is mostly stock other than a few add-ons including:

* Pro Taper bars
*Moose easy clutch pull
*Skid plate
*Hand guards
*12oz Steahly flywheel weight
*Hand adjustable carb screws
*K&N filter
*Lock on grips
*Wave rotors
*New Acerbis plastics and decals
*Yamaha WR250 kickstand

Maxxis Desert IT tires are in good condition with heavy duty tubes. The Primary Drive O-ring chain, sprockets, and chain guide are new this year with little usage. Fork seals, rear wheel bearings, rear shock and linkage bearings were just replaced with little usage. Original triangle and owners manual go with the sale. There may be a few things that I'm forgetting. This bike is an excellent trail bike and just spent 4 days at Hatfield-McCoy trails in WV. and ran flawlessly the whole time. I have the NY certificate of origin for the bike signed by the original owner (not me) that will be given at the time of sale. I never had it transferred because it didn't concern me, but if it concerns you then please look into what has to be done to transfer it before you come out to look at the bike or click Buy it Now. I live in a quiet residential neighborhood so test rides will Not be available, but I will show and start the bike for anyone interested. I would prefer local pickup only, but shipping arrangements can be made at buyers expense. I would like a $150 non refundable Paypal deposit upon using Buy it Now and the balance due in cash upon pickup within 2 weeks of purchasing. Feel free to ask any questions. Thanks for looking.

Brammo Earns Seventh Place Against Gas Bikes

Mon, 06 May 2013

This past weekend, Brammo arrived to Sonoma Raceway in Central California ready to do battle. Only this time the electric sportbike manufacturer would be trading blows not with other electric bikes, but with their ICE counterparts at the second round of the American Federation of Motorcyclists series — one of the oldest club racing organizations in the country. We recently mentioned Brammo’s eligibility with AFM, and this weekend was the first outing. Team Icon Brammo and its two riders Eric Bostrom and Steve Atlas competed on the Empulse RR machines while third rider, Shelina Moreda, rode the Team Parker Brammo Empulse TTX — a modified version of the road-legal Empulse.

AMA Supercross: 2012 San Diego Results

Mon, 13 Feb 2012

Ryan Villopoto captured his second straight victory, winning the San Diego round of the 2012 AMA Supercross championship. The Monster Energy Kawasaki rider now has three wins on the season, two more than anyone else, but his hold on the championship points lead has only increased to six points. Villopoto took the lead on the second lap of the main event after overtaking Brett Metcalfe of Yoshimura Suzuki who took the holeshot, with Villopoto‘s teammate Jake Weimer also in the lead group.

Simon and Leo

Thu, 11 Aug 2011

If you are a track day regular this year, you may well have bumped into former racer and friendly Kiwi, Simon Crafar. I first met him in Malaysia in 1990 when he was riding for a Yamaha dealer team, sweating his way round circuits like Shah Alam and Johor Bahru but with a long term plan to make it onto the World scene. And he didn’t take long as after riding for Honda in the UK in 1992 he moved to WSB in 1994 and enjoyed success with both the Honda and Kawasaki factory teams.
