-NO TITLE -

This bike just finished a minor mechanical and cosmetic upgrade & re-freshening. Bike was completely dismantled and frame was repainted in correct KX green. We also replaced all wheel bearings, swingarm bearings, steering head bearings, and shock linkage bearings at this time. This year would be Kawasaki's last hurrah for conventional style forks, but what a way to end an era! These are KYB's fabulous 46mm forks that are highly coveted by all racers looking for the ultimate in conventional fork technology. Rumor has it that these 46mm forks were so good, that it wouldn't be until the mid-90's that KYB's inverted forks could match the performance of these huge 46's. This bike sports all of it's original OEM plastic and it is very rare to find these with their original small KX tanks, fenders, side panels, bars, etc. Tires are at 90%  and this was the first year for 19" rear, seat foam-base-cover replaced with new reproduction, orig. rear shock rebuilt by Race-Tech and is excellent. FMF pipe & Answer silencer (pipe has ding on side). Excell brand rear rim. Forks were rebuilt with new seals & oil. New fork boots. New grips, levers, cables. Fredette Racing billet chain guide. Answer Products Accutrax handle bar clamp. TAG sprockets and chain. This was MXAction Magazine's 250 shootout winner of the year. A very fast bike, and the LAST year that you can vintage race any KX (GP-5). Great bike for the money and a really hard bike to find nowadays. Excellent condition and very fast.

$250.00 deposit due within 1 day through Paypal. Balance to be paid in full either upon pick up with cash, or in advance with check or wire transfer. Bike does not leave my possession until paid in full and all funds have cleared.

When I received this bike it was in restored condition. Bike was sent to my restorer for a freshening up and all systems were serviced and functional, along with a minor cosmetic upgrade. Bike is sold in used and as-is condition with no warrantees or guarantees of any kind offered. This is a used vintage off road racing motorcycle that has been 'fully restored', but buyer must know there will still be items needed to replace or correct by buyer, prior to buyer riding or racing this machine.

Mon, 14 Nov 2011

Interesting motorcycles you probably didn't see1 of 11Next Last There’s no cave deep, mountain high or rock heavy enough to have thwarted news of Ducati’s 1199 Panigale superbike launch at the 2012 EICMA show in Milan, Italy. And a few models such as Honda’s NC700S and X, Kawasaki’s Versys 1000 and CRP’s Energica were unveiled without heavy prior fanfare, but gasps of surprise weren’t heard when the wraps were taken off Triumph’s Tiger 1200 Explorer, Husqvarna’s Nuda or MV Augusta’s F3 675 among others, whose existences were revealed months in advance of the show. What we’ve comprised below is our list Top 10 Bikes unveiled at EICMA that didn’t receive top billing but are certainly worthy of your attention.

Results From Day 1 Of World Superbike Testing At Phillip Island

Mon, 17 Feb 2014

Eugene Laverty, aboard his Voltcom Crescent Suzuki GSX-R1000, led the field today as the first day of World Superbike testing got underway at the Phillip Island circuit in Australia, site of the first race of the 2014 season. Under sunny skies and perfect weather conditions, Laverty adapted quickly to his new ride after spending last season aboard the Aprilia RSV4 Factory. The Suzuki offered incredible feedback and allowed him to push right out of the gates, ultimately setting a fastest lap time of 1:30.513.
