Kawasaki KLX description

2013 Kawasaki KLX 140 L, FUN, FUN... 2013 Kawasaki KLX 140L
If the standard KLX 140 with its 17 front and 14 rear wheels holds appeal for both young and old, the KLX140L incorporates all of its many features, yet packages them in a slightly beefier version, giving taller riders something to crow about. The 19 front and 16 rear wheels on the L-version are only part of the story, as its also equipped with a more performance-oriented , reservoir-type shock that the larger, more experienced rider will quickly appreciate. Features
144cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine is simple to operate and to maintain
Close-ratio transmission makes optimum use of the engine s power
Progressive manual clutch offers young riders the chance to master clutch engagement and gear shifting
Rear shock with piggyback reservoir has fully adjustable preload, four-way compression damping and 22-way rebound damping
Keyless electric starting via a starter button on the handlebar; an LED indicates when the power button is on to help prevent accidental battery drain

2014 AMA Supercross – Oakland Results

Mon, 27 Jan 2014

With three different racers tasting victory in the first three rounds of the 2014 AMA Supercross Championship, the season was shaping up to be one of the deepest and most competitive fields we’ve seen. But at Round Four at O.o Coliseum in Oakland, Calif., Ryan Villopoto showed why he remains the top dog, leading each lap for his second win of the season. The Kawasaki rider only trailed at the very start of the race, as Honda rider Vince Friese took the holeshot with Yamaha‘s Justin Brayton slotting in second through the first corner.

Church of MO: 1997 Kawasaki ZX-6

Sun, 15 May 2022

Twenty-five years ago, the 1997 Kawasaki ZX-6 had not yet grown an “R.” It came with a centerstand, dual exhausts, and weighed 430 pounds full of 4.8 gallons of unleaded fuel. The leaded stuff hadn’t been phased out until one year earlier, which may explain a lot about the mental condition of many of us Boomers. It was a great, inexpensive, do-anything motorcycle in other words.

The Best Racetrack You’ve Never Heard Of

Sat, 08 Nov 2008

Last week I had the opportunity to ride one of the best tracks in the world, but you’ve probably never heard of it. It’s called the Autopolis International Racing Course and is located in northern Kyushu, Japan, a 90-minute bus ride from the nearest city, Kumamoto. Autopolis is a wonderfully flowing, 2.9-mile track that rises and falls like a symphonic overture, with inclines that range up to 7.2% uphill, 10% downhill.
