2008 Kawasaki KLR 650 (2008)
For sale is my 08' KLR 650. It is blue and grey, and has the following options. Tall Cee Bailey windshield, steel foot pegs, aluminum skid plate, center stand, and it is lowered 2", but comes with the factory dog bones for stock height. It is wired for fog lights, but the previous owner removed them and I never had a need to put new ones on, however the harness is there. The only other mods are a 17 tooth front sprocket, and a new set of Kenda street tires, this bike has spent all of its time on the road. It has a new battery as of 3 months ago, and according to the previous owner the valves were checked, and in spec as of January this year. The brakes are good, it runs and drives perfect, starts every morning for me, and is reliable as any other KLR out there. If you win the auction I would like a deposit of $100.00 unless you make plans otherwise. Ideally it will be paid for within 5 business days, as well arrangements for pickup or delivery should be made. Delivery: I can deliver this bike pretty much anywhere for the cost of fuel, and an Amtrak ticket back as long as full payment arrangements are made first. Thanks for looking, and good luck bidding.2013-09-05 08:44:45Charlestown, New Hampshire, US36,500645.00

2008 Kawasaki KLR (2008)
This is a nearly mint condition 2008 KLR650 with all the add-ons one would ever need to create the ultimate "budget" adventure bike. I originally purchased this bike for local and solo dual sport trips. It didn't take me long to fall in love with the KLR for its ridability, comfort, versatility, and most of all reliability, so I decided to build the ultimate KLR650 Adventure bike out of it.2016-08-19 04:45:49Clifton, New Jersey, United States46,400.00

1999 Kawasaki KLR 650, Great Bike, Many Extras... (1999)
I am selling a 1999 KLR 650, she’s not a beauty queen, but she runs great and starts first time. The previous owner painted the plastics and I think he used the wrong paint or didn’t prep the surfaces adequately. However, that would be an easy fix for this winter. Or, you could just leave it the way it is like I did.2013-09-05 16:13:50Athens, Ohio, US25,1001,950.00

1993 Kawasaki KLR650 Dual Sport Motorcycle KLR 650 Enduro No Reserve (1993)
1993 Kawasaki KLR650 Up for grabs is a 1993 Kawasaki KLR650. It's a great bike, fun to ride, and very reliable. However since the baby came it just sits and is not getting ridden and is taking up valuable real estate in my garage. It's in fair shape for a 20 year old motorcycle. It's got some dings and scratches and won't win any beauty pageants but has never had a mechanical issue since I've had it. It fires right up every time with little or no choke. The only issue I've had was the battery was getting weak so I just put a brand new battery in it today so you won't have to worry about it. I have the receipt for the warranty. They made these bikes basically unchanged from 1987-2007 so parts are plentiful and cheap if you ever need something for it. I am including a brand new Clymer Service Manual with the bike. As with all 20 year old bikes there are going to be a few issues. Last time I took this bike out on the trails the speedometer cable broke so the speedo currently doesn't work, cheap fix and I would've done it myself but I honestly forgot about it. The sensor that controls the neutral light is finicky so the green neutral light pretty much stays on all the time even when in other gears. Doesn't bother me and if you need a neutral light to tell you you're in neutral you probably shouldn't be on a motorcycle anyway. One of the rear turn signals is cracked so I put a fancy electrical tape repair on it, new turn signals are about $20 a pair on ebay. Sometimes when the bike is hot and you park it in the garage it will drip a few drops of oil. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't, but it never drips any when the bike is not hot. I have to add about a half quart every six months so the leak is minimal and honestly I didn't see it cost effective to fix. Other than the couple little things mentioned above everything functions 100% as it should. All turn signals, horn, hi/low beams, kill switch, transmission, gauges, etc all work fine. The bike has always passed emissions just fine so if you live in CA or AZ don't worry. Cost of ownership is dirt cheap on these bikes. I can't remember the exact cost to register it but it was extremely cheap and I only pay $66 a year for insurance on it. I've bought a lot of vehicles on ebay and nothing is more annoying than when somebody goes out of their way to say everything works and when you go to pick it up that's when you find out that there's a half dozen things that don't function. I've tried to include a 100% accurate description so nobody will be disappointed. Check my feedback, I have over 9 years and 15,000 transactions on ebay. A $300 deposit will be due within 24 hours of auction close and the remainder to be paid via cash at time of pickup within 7 days of auction close. Bike is for local pickup only in Mesa, AZ. Please feel free to ask any questions. Thanks.2013-10-15 00:01:10Mesa, Arizona, US31,253999.00

Friday Forum Forage: 1998 Kawasaki ZX-11
Fri, 27 Jan 2023My apologies for returning so quickly to ZXForums, when we were just here two weeks ago. But this one knocked my socks off. The Kawasaki ZX-11 may have had more impact on some of our formative years than any other motorcycle.

2023 Kawasaki KLX230 S Review - First Ride
Wed, 14 Dec 2022Reducing the seat height without lowering expectations Credit: Photos by Kevin Wing Entry level dual-sport has for a very long time existed in the void between categories, particularly when you consider folks who are shorter in the inseam. We all need to start somewhere, but for most who did not grow up riding, or maybe started exclusively on street motorcycles, the reality is that the entry-level engine size is often combined with the inability to comfortably touch the ground at a stop. That’s enough to deter all but the most stubborn of vertically challenged riders.
Old Dog, New Tricks: Tackling The LA-Barstow To Vegas Dual-Sport Ride
Mon, 05 Dec 2022Joining the 39th running of the famed event on a Ducati DesertX and a Kawasaki KLX300 Credit: Photos by Cait Maher, Evans Brasfield, Grumpy, and Ryan Adams Let’s be honest, dual-sport motorcycles aren’t really designed for touring, despite my best efforts ( here and here). The bikes are merely street-legal dirt bikes without much accommodation for creature comfort. So, spending 220-ish miles flat in the saddle from Las Vegas, NV to Palmdale, CA, mostly on Interstate 15, is a platform for cataloging discomforts, and after riding approximately 360 miles, mostly off road over the two previous days, my aches-and-pains were legion.
Kawasaki Reveals Electric, Hybrid and Hydrogen-Powered Prototypes
Tue, 08 Nov 2022Electrics coming in 2023, hybrid Ninja to follow in 2024 After presenting an electric prototype last month at Intermot, Kawasaki revealed a range of electric, hybrid, and hydrogen-powered prototypes at EICMA. The alternative energy models are part of Kawasaki’s efforts to reach carbon neutrality, with production models expected to launch in the next two to three years. Most of the prototypes used Kawasaki’s new Go with Green Power logo which will be used on its carbon neutrality efforts.
Showdown: Kawasaki Ninja 1000 SX Vs Suzuki GSX-S1000GT+
Fri, 04 Nov 2022A clash between two sport-touring heavyweights Credit: Photos by Evans Brasfield It seems like all the splash lately has been about the ADV category and all the wonderful things they can do and destinations they can reach. We’re not going to deny adventure bikes their time in the sun, either. They’re definitely fun and capable bikes worthy of all the bandwagoning.
2022 Kawasaki KLX140 R L Review
Wed, 12 Oct 2022A great intermediate step to a full-sized dirt bike for growing or novice riders Credit: Photos by Evans Brasfield The universal truth about children is that you feed them, and they grow. So, after an extended time with the Honda CRF125F, my daughter started to look like a giant on the bike and needed to move up. A year prior, she’d tried the Kawasaki KLX140R L and found it intimidating because she couldn’t easily touch the ground when astride it.
2023 Kawasaki Ninja 650 And Z650 - First Look
Tue, 04 Oct 2022Now with traction control. Kawasaki is bringing back both the Ninja 650 and Z650 for 2023 with one significant update – traction control. Formerly a rider aid only for the most powerful sportbikes on the planet, the safety benefits of traction control reach far beyond trying to go quickly around a racetrack.
Kawasaki EV Prototype Revealed at Intermot
Tue, 04 Oct 2022Electric naked Z prototype to form basis for production model Kawasaki presented an electric prototype at Intermot, providing a glimpse of what an eventual production model may look like. The EV prototype was part of a wide-ranging speech from Masaya Tsuruno, managing director of Kawasaki Motors Europe, discussing the company’s approach to reaching carbon neutrality. Tsuruno did not provide much technical information about the EV prototype, though he did stress that the prototype will form the basis of a production machine.
