THIS BIKE IS A GREAT HARD TO FIND PROJECT FOR SOMEONE. IT LOOKS TO BE ALMOST COMPLETELY THERE AND THE ENGINE TURNS OVER WITH COMPRESSION! THE BIKE WAS STORED SINCE 1986 IN A GARAGE HERE IN NC ON THE COAST. IT WAS RUNNING WHEN PARKED. THE MOTOR TURNS OVER WITH COMPRESSION. THE BIKE ROLLS AND STEERS. IT HAS SOME RUST ON CHROME SURFACES BECAUSE IT WAS NEAR THE COAST. SEE PICS. IT IS SHOWING 17,XXX MILES ON ODOMETER. THE BIKE COMES WITH A NC TITLE, NOT IN MY NAME. BUT PLEASE READ!!! THE TITLE WAS SIGNED INCORRECTLY BY THE LATE SELLER A LONG TIME AGO. IT WAS SIGNED ON THE PURCHASER LINE INSTEAD OF THE SELLER LINE. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF BUYER TO GET IT FIXED. I HAVE NO WAY OF CONTACTING THE PERSON. SEE PICS OF TITLE!!! THESE BIKES ARE HARD TO FIND IN ONE PIECE. THE CARB SLIDES ARE FROZEN FROM SITTING. THE CARBS WERE OFF WHEN I GOT IT AND I PUT THEM BACK ON FOR PICS. THE SEAT PAN IS RUSTED OUT PRETTY GOOD. BUT OVERALL A GREAT SOLID START TO A PROJECT. BIKE IS SOLD AS IS WHERE IS NOT RUNNING. Showa me the money I was all Pavlov dogging when I read that the KX450SR “features elite-level racing components, special tuning and design elements inspired by the Monster Energy Kawasaki race team,” only to suffer slight cotton mouth when I learned that consists of nothing more than new SHOWA suspension components front and rear. I mean, obviously great suspension is critical to motorcycles that leap 40 feet into the air, but I felt like I was led to believe there’d be more. In fact, the rest of the 2022 package was already so blinged out, there wasn’t much more Kawasaki could add.
