Rebuilt 48 Chief is for sale. The bike has matching numbers, just rebuilt by a professional Indian technician, and runs and rides great. Clean Florida title. The bike is set up Indian style - Tank shift on the right, spark advance on the right handlebar, throttle on the left handlebar, left foot toe down(forward) to shift, heel down to go. US Highland Making a Comeback

US Highland appears to be making a comeback, announcing plans to begin processing new orders and having discussions with several OEMs for the use of the Oklahoma company’s powertrains. The Tulsa-based company did not mention which OEMs it is working with, though US Highland says the discussions could result in sales of over 20,000 units per year. The company is developing fuel injected V-Twin engines in 750cc, 950cc and 1050cc displacements and Singles in 350cc, 450cc and 507cc displacements.

Third Annual ‘The MEET’ at ACM

More than 2,000 attendees visited America’s Car Museum for its 3rd annual Vintage Motorcycle Festival ‘The MEET’ last weekend in Tacoma, Washington, where over 300 motorcycles and scooters were showcased on the Haub Family Field at LeMay. The event drew pre-1981 motorcycles and scooters from the U.S. and Canada, including an antique motorcycle display, swap meet, cruise-in and a 78-mile roundtrip tour from ACM’s Anderson Plaza to Mt. Rainier.

Documented by the McQueen Certificate of Authenticity that the bike was acquired after the actor’s death at the estate auction held in Las Vegas in 1984, the Chief was fully restored in the early 1990s.
