I am listing a 1946 Indian Chief for a friend. My friend had the bike restored 8 years ago. The engine was professionally rebuilt, top and bottom end. Flywheels balanced, bored .10 over, tranny gone all through, everything that could be replaced was done correctly. Bike was ridden around a thousand miles since rebuild and has really not been ridden much the past few years. I went to his barn yesterday started the bike, two kicks after prime, and rode about a half mile and it never missed a beat and sounded great. The bike is a correct numbers matching with clean title in hand. All the money and hard work has been spent/done, the bike is being sold due to him not using it. The bike is being sold as is where is, what you see in the pictures is what you are bidding on, please feel free to ask any questions and we will answer. $1000 deposited required at end of auction and the rest cash in hand, unless other arrangements approved prior by seller. Allstate Offering $5,000 Grants for Best New Motorcycle Safety Ideas

We’ve previously written about Allstate‘s efforts at advancing motorcycle safety and awareness, from its “Watch for Motorcycles” sign campaign to its Rider Risk Map app on Facebook. Today, the insurance provider announced another new initiative in its Good Rides Grant program, offering $25,000 in grants for new ideas to advance motorcycle safety. Allstate is asking people to send their ideas on how to improve safety to the company’s Facebook page.

WSBK Cancels Round at India’s Buddh International Circuit

The 2013 World Superbike Championship season will end about a month earlier than scheduled, with the cancellation of the Nov. 17 round at India’s Buddh International Circuit. The Indian round had already been moved from its originally scheduled date of March 10 but the extra few months do not appear to be enough to get the circuit ready to host WSBK in November.
