Indian Chief description
You are biddding on a 1939 Indian Chief. Frame number 339. Speedometer is a 130mph, which is original. Bike has a 1940 Chief engine with loads of comprssion. I have never tried to start this bike. Im sure it would start fine. Left hand shift-right hand gas. Bike needs tail light lens and retainer, speedo cable, tool box and a battery. Extra parts that come with bike are a rebuilt generator, generator will be converted to 12 volt and battery tie down brakets. Bike was fixed up 10 years ago. Bike looks great, condition is good. No rust on frame or sheet metal. Fenders and tank are original. They are not reproduction. No holes in tanks. Wheels are nice. Bearings are good in wheels. Front fork is nice. Piaggio Reports First Half 2011 Results
Wed, 27 Jul 2011The Piaggio Group reported slight increases in net sales and net profit over the first six months of 2011 compared to the same period in 2010. Net sales increased 1.1% to 830 million euros (US$1.19 billion) over the first six months of 2011, compared to 820 million euros (US$1.18 billion) in the first half of 2010. Piaggio reported a net profit of 33.3 million euros (US$47.9 million), a slight increase from the net profit of 33.1 million euros (US$47.6 million) reported last year.
