INDIAN CHEROKEE

FOUR

INDIAN FOUR TRIBUTE

WHAT IS FOR BIDDING IS A COMPLETE SPECIAL CONSTRUCTION INDIAN FOUR TRIBUTE DESIGNED AND DONE BY HAROLD "J. R" BALLINGER A VERY TALENTED MECHANIC AND STREET ROD BUILDER FROM COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO.
J. R. BALLINGER WAS TRAINED BY INDIAN TRAINED MECHANIC WALT TIMME AND WANTED TO CREATE A UNIQUE, SIMPLE, RELIABLE AND EVOLVED TRIBUTE BIKE LOYAL TO THE FORM, FUNCTION AND AESTHETIC LINES OF THE INDIAN FOUR MOTORCYCLE OF THE 30'S AND 40'S.
HE RESEARCHED AND SELECTED A RELIABLE AND EASY TO MAINTAIN NISSAN A 14 IN-LINE FOUR ENGINE TO BE MATCHED WITH THE BULLETPROOF SHAFT DRIVE 5 GEARS 1998 MOTTO GUZZI TRANSMISSION. ONCE THE POWER PLANT AND THE TRANSMISSION WERE ASSEMBLED, A 4130 CHROMOLY FRAME WAS BUILT AROUND THE POWERPLANT, SECTION BY SECTION, TIG WELDED ALONG THE WAY TO FINISH A STATE OF THE ART MOTORCYCLE THAT IS EXTREMELY ELEGANT, MODERN BUT IN THE WAY CLASSIC AND BEAUTIFUL AS THE OLD INDIAN FOUR.
COMPLETING THE PROJECT 1948 STYLE INDIAN FRONT AND BACK FENDERS, 6 GALLON TANKS, CUSTOM PAINT AND LOGO, WEBBER CARBURATOR, VDO GAUGES, BREMBO BRAKES, J BRAKE HANDLEBAR CONTROLS AND HD AFTERMARKET FRONT SUSPENSION AND SPOKED WHEEL WERE ADDED.
EXHAUST, BATTERY AND INSTRUMENT CONSOLE ARE HAND BUILT, SEAT AND SADDLEBAGS ARE PROVIDED BY HEATHERS LEATHERS AND SEAT SUSPENSION IS PROVIDED BY A MONOSHOCK MOUNTAIN BIKE UNIT.

ABOUT THE RIDE: SURPRISINGLY SMOOTH FOR A HARDTAIL FRAME WITH A MONOSHOCK SEAT SUSPENSION AND A WHEELBASE THAT MEASSURES ALMOST 6 FEET AXLE TO AXLE.
IT TRACKS GREAT AT HIGH SPEED IN THE FREEWAYS AND HANDLES REMARKABLY WELL IN THE CURBS.
IT IS LIGHTER TO MANEUVER THAT A HARLEY DAVIDSON BY FAR.
IT IS SMOOTH, RESPONSIVE, FAST AND ABSOLUTELY HOT TO RIDE.
IT SOUNDS LIKE AN INDIAN FOUR ON STEROIDS.
YOU GET THUMBS UP EVERYWHERE AND IS "THE" PIECE OF CONVERSATION AT AVERY STOP OR MEETING.
WITH THIS BIKE YOU ARE AN INDIVIDUAL WHEREVER YOU GO.

I AM NOT A REAL FOND LOVING OF CUSTOM BUILT MOTORCYCLES BUT, THIS ONE JUST STOLE MY HEART. IT WAS LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT.
EVERYTHING ON THE BIKE IS SO WELL DESIGNED, THE OVERHALL VEHICLE SO MUCH PROPORTIONATE AND THE INDIAN SPIRIT SO WELL CAPTURED THAT IT IS NO DOUBT IN MY MIND THAT THIS IS A PIECE OF MACHINE THAT ANY INDIAN FOUR LOVER MAY WANT TO HAVE IN HIS COLLECTION.
BELIEVE IT OR NOT PEOPLE IN THE STREET THINK THAT SHE IS THE REAL 1940 INDIAN FOUR!!!!

REGRETFULLY I HAVE TO DEPART FROM HER DUE TO OTHER PROJECTS THAT WILL NEED THE FUNDS COMMING FROM THE SELL.
I AM NOT GOING TO LET HER GO FOR PEANUTS THOUGH, SO GOOD LUCK AND BID RESPONSIBLE AND BE GENEROUS IF YOU WANT HER.

See Britain's land speed record hopeful at Race Retro 2010

Tue, 09 Mar 2010

SEE THE MACHINE that could propel Britain to a new motorcycle land speed world record at The Race Retro 2010 show, held at Stoneleigh Park, Coventry from 12th to 14th March. Almost a year has passed since Visordown broke the news of the planned UK assault on the land speed record - this coming August the Angelic Bulldog team travels to Bonneville, where it is hoping to smash the 400mph barrier and bring the motorcycle Land Speed Record back to the UK for the first time since 1937. The current record stands at 360.913mph over a kilometre.

Polaris Reports Q1 2013 Results

Tue, 23 Apr 2013

Polaris Industries reported a 26% increase in net income over the first quarter of 2013, but a 2.9% decline in on-road vehicle sales (comprised almost entirely of Victory and Indian Motorcycles). The company’s first quarter filings report a net income of $75.5 million, up from the $60.1 million reported over the same period in 2012. Much of the increase can be attributed to a 217% increase in net sales from its snowmobile division, spurred in large part by increase in snowfall across many regions of North America.
